Derby day acid attack rumour?

I think so. It’s an easy target really. Last season at Hillsborough we deliberately avoided the escort off the tram to avoid being sitting ducks for having shit thrown at you. Just walked our own way - don’t wear colours, so nobody knows who’s who, other than me not looking like most Wednesday fans and not resembling that monster from The Goonies.

I thought Alex was describing the aftermath of him being presented with a salad, for a minute.

Despite some fans being stupid, I seriously doubt anybody is taking acid to a game to throw at someone. Also if it did happen, there would be proof. Also the police would have issued a statement. Absolutely BS. Never happened
Complete and utter lies, but what do you expect from 'The Wednesday'. The children's club

I hope the lamp post is alright.
Absolutely no doubt whatsoever that the Coppers couldn’t see what was going to happen there. But fair play, they still maintained their speed even possibly accelerated slightly as they neared the inevitable impact.

Well done officers, I think that’s probably the modern equivalent of falling down the charge room steps.

Na na na na he’s a Blade and he’s a Blade 😉

Most of the coppers near the ground weren't from SYP.

I was drinking with a Humberside copper pre-match (he was off duty and IS a Blade) and he said they were sending 30-40. We always used to get a busload from Durham too, IIRC

Yeah, the Coppers involved were from North Yorkshire, so may have had prior experience handling livestock, but nevertheless I think we can all agree excellent work.

I think what we saw yesterday prematch is the changing face of trouble of football. Not so long ago seasoned hooligans would typically not engage in those kind of antics. Preferring to stay out of sight and hope for a 'meet' or encounter somewhere else, away from the glare of the police and cameras. But there are now so many cameras and stiff penalties that most trouble involves under 18s who probably just get a telling off. Usually chucking stuff at each other while under police escort. I've no idea if the BBC or OCS even exist anymore? To me it just looks like chavvy kids taking on the mantle of the older generation of hooligans but preferring to hurl abuse at each other and throw missiles.
The OCS never existed!
