My arithmetic says there’s at least $10m left for transfer fees which is one decent player or two bargains.
Then there’s the two loans from PL and unlimited loans from abroad.

Ever the optimist , we must bring in starting eleven quality for :
LCB
Lfooted MF who can both tackle and create better than any of our present MF.
Those two positions are our Achilles heel.

After those two are sorted and depending on injury list , we can look at :
Better than Bash as backup for Anel and Egan.
RWB if Bogle crocked long term.
ST if McB can’t stay fit.
Better MF than Norwood Osborn Fleck Coulibaly , then we can ship Fleck out who should never have been re-signed as always unfit.

I admire your optimism. Even if your maths is correct, two quality PL ready loan signings could easily use the remaining funds in fees and wages! Personally, I believe the acquisition funds could be stretched further if PH makes a case for it.

We are not well known for paying big fees and wagers in the past, and that has diverted much needed players elsewhere. I also think we could be obliged to accept the likes of Norwood, JLT and Basham as back up players in the EPL.

Who knows what Hecky’s worst case scenario is? I think your opinion is idealistic. I hope PH is persuasive but experience tells me two quality loans is the most we will get.

We weren’t light in midfield until Mister Numpty loaned Arblaster out for the season. Just saying.

All due respect none of these kids are close to PL level including Arblaster

He’s a better prospect than Jebbison IMO and I’ve felt that way since we first saw him the season before last

Hoping Berge getting knocked off the ball easily is more due to it being a pre season friendly than an omen of things to come this season. Think we’re looking fairly decent in all though.

Very entertaining 45 mins that.
Game played at a high tempo by both teams.
Derby had some good moments and I think they’ll do well this year.
Slimane looks real class. Berge is moving well and the front boys are looking slick.
Despite all the flack Osborn has played well too.
Baldock looks more and more like an International player.
The only disappointment is Lowe. Looks lightweight again and has no end product.
All in all a good run out.
Stadium looks great too. Totally wasted in tier three. Get thi’ sens up Derby.

The kids who have made an impact in the past went straight into the starting line ups and made positive impacts immediately. Lowton, Maguire, Ndiaye, Quinn, Naughton, Walker. Jebbo made an instant impact three years ago but has never built on that, and Osula has done nothing of note period.

Lowton, Ndiaye and Naughton were nowhere near our first team as teenagers.

Finishing is the most important attribute of a striker and if you can't do it in no pressure fr8endlies it's gonna be a lot more difficult ult in a Premier
League match

Osula couldn't finish his dinner could have had a hat trick if he can't score against a L1 team what chance in the Prem, yes it's pre season but could have played himself into contention against Palace. Jebbo scores goals I'm really unsure re Osula ...UTB.. on reflection a few on the pitch couldn't score in Birds of Paradise
