Dear all Coventry fans

I was there that day in '91.Reckon it was Cyril Regis's farewell and we did run the Coventry fans.I'm no hooligan and watched it all with a stupid grin on my face as our boys chased the Cov lads out of Highfield Road.

SC's book has photos I think.

Might have to get a copy then. Might see me sen on the pitch and maybe even my mate 'Tithead Tommy' swinging from their crossbar like a demented trapeze artist at the end of the game. How a very drunk Tithead didnt break his neck the good lord only knows.

This never happened. If this happened there would at least be a news article on it.

You obviously weren't there then.
0-0 draw last game of the season May 1991

Blades took thousands and a very large percentage of them joined your lot on the pitch.
In truth United fans didn't set out to attack Coventry fans, it was all a bit of a laugh really. Your lot came over looking for it and when hundreds of United fans started invading the pitch as well it all seemed to dissolve away. The United fans eventually covered the entire pitch whilst the Cov support quietly slunk away.

It was a bit like calling a bloke whose sat down a wanker, only for him to stand up and you realise he's seven feet tall. Really funny it was

Not wishing to rake over old coals, but you have done it all and seen it all?

If you mean me, yes, or certainly quite a lot.

I think we were at cross purposes last time. I was referring to experience of life, not necessarily football, but then someone else intervened and things went off at a tangent...

We're in a push for promotion. They want to whistle all game instead of getting behind their team. They then run onto the pitch, disrupt their own team and cost themselves a draw and we're the bad guys for getting frustrated at it all. Logic.

Perhaps they will be docked points. Not that it matters their team will drop enough to see them down

It's a tough one, because if fans across the country want to limit the impact that crap owners and money men have on the game then organised protest is something I want to back. On the other hand, I didn't want our game ruining tonight and, win aside, that's what happened.

I mostly kept my mouth shut about Charlton as I feel their interrupting a game very early on and then letting it continue is about the right balance. Having as many breaks in play as there were tonight is just farcical.

Selfish Bastards. Blades here and there contributed to their begging bowl when they wanted to be sent to Coventry from their play away days

Have a demonstration after the game and if during the game don't invade the pitch.
What really got me was that some in the crowd deliberately used their whistles to
Mimick the refs whistle and always when United looked dangerous or had the advantage. SHARPY brought justice!
