Following on from the 1966 World Cup , if VAR had been used in future tournaments,Lampards goal would have stood v Germany bringing us back to 2-2 , (unless they were using the Villa Park goal line technology) ,,, and BOTH Maradona's goals (the hand ball one and the great run ) would have been disallowed ,, Back to the FA Cup Final , if it had been a keeper against us I would have wanted him given a red , if it was our keeper I would also have expected a red ,, ps pleased for Hendo OABAAB

The bit we always see is Madona receiving the ball , how the ball gets to Maradona is rarely shown but worth a watch , ,the foul is definitely a yellow bordering on a red ,

Well yes the factual accounts will say it ended 4-2 but your original point was it would still have been 3-2 if the controversial goal had been knocked off

It’s highly unlikely it would have played out as it did in match

The controversial goal would have been disallowed in the 101st minute meaning that either team would have needed to score at least one goal to win in the next 19 minutes of that game. Not sure what gives you grounds for your 'highly unlikely' comment. . I'll let you be content to have the last word in telling me what could have happened. I'll now also be content to let the recorded result for the game that was actually played, speak for itself as otherwise we can carry on going round in circles and it gets us nowhere.

Always knew he was way better than Ramsdale.. if he could only sort his kicking out, he'd make it right to the very top because his goalkeeping is outstanding.

Some character too. Really like the lad.
We were absolutely blessed for the couple of years he was here, we had an incredible squad and team spirit.

One of my abiding memories of the 2018-19 PL promotion celebrations, is Dean Henderson belting out the GCB from the stage in front of the town hall, after the open top bus parade.

I had to be at work for 7.15pm, so had to leave before most of the players and management came out of the town hall onto the stage. Hendo, being goalkeeper, was the first (or one of the first) player out, I think. I'd seen him come out just before I started to walk away from the celebrations to get to work, and I'll never forget hearing him belting out the GCB at the top of his lungs, as I was walking up past the city hall towards West Street. It was so loud, I thought the whole of Sheffield must have heard it!

What I love about that memory, is how fantastically enthusiastic he was - just singing his heart out with gusto, having the time of his life. It was brilliant!

I'm not in the least bit surprised that he's captained a club to their first ever European trophy because, in addition to his natural talent and goalkeeping skills, what stood out about him with us, was just how much he put his heart and soul into everything he did. No half measures with Hendo - the absolute embodiment of the phrase, "if something's worth doing, it's worth doing well".

Well done Hendo, I'm absolutely delighted for you! You've really earned your success.

Agree. Surprised, Manchester United never gave him a proper chance. Better than anything they have had since De Gea IMO.

All he has done since leaving is prove them wrong.

Man Utd gave him 29 games over 2 seasons but only 13 of those were PL appearances. Every club he got loaned to he had been a standout performer. Yet Man Utd kept experimenting with expensive poor keepers. Only now have they landed someone decent enough in Lemmens.
