Will likely play cup and European games, which they’ll obviously be at least 10+ you’d imagine so probably not the worst for him. Puts him in a position to put real pressure on De Gea too. For some reason, we think that anyone who wears the red and white falls in love with our club, well they don’t. Once a blade and all that.....nah they don’t actually care. But you’re right, they’ll be claims of him wishing he could have had another year and so on. Henderson was prone to big game errors and is a Man Utd fan, it’s time to move on.

Pulled off a decent save in the cup mid week. If he is playing most of the cup matches then he will push De Gea for the shirt.

i’d like someone with experience who could act as a coach but who will also push him for the position... someone like McGovern at Norwich or Marshall at Derby, even Westwood from the pigs as he’d fit in with the irish contigent. Players we might be able to get on the cheap/free and are gettable depending on where those clubs end up

edit: Hennessy, Ruddy and Begovic are all out of contract in the summer, though i’d imagine theyd want a fair whack/1st team footy being current epl players...

there is also George Long out of contract in summer... that would be an interesting signing
