Any chance we will keep him at the Lane? Didn’t Man Utd just sign another young keeper?

I reckon if we went up, they'd let us loan him again. Other than that, no chance.

He'll be first choice at Man U in 2/3 years.

4-2 today without Deano.

As much as it feels like we've dropped another 2 points in reality he's won us 1!

Rotherham would have won handsomely if it wasnt for Deano. Great performance from him.

No chance he will stay with us beyond this season unless we get promoted.

No chance we will keep him unless we go up, which looks unlikely.

You’ve kind of answered your own question.

In today’s crazy inflated market quality goalies go for £10 million and £25K a week wages. PL clubs can easily afford it but there’s no way SU can afford those demands.

So unless the market becomes more sensible or for some weird reason Hendo lowers his demands because he’s so desperate to play for us then I’m certain that unless we are promoted we have ZERO chance of signing him.

Some unbelievable saves today. Definitely motm. But it was mixed in with some shaky claims for crosses. This is still the area he needs to focus on.

Hendo is just great and he was unlucky in both the goals conceded.

He is making a lot of noise on Twitter about not getting a chance at Man U and loving the Blades, his contract runs out in July. But would his form this season put him completely out of reach, I reckon a few PL clubs will be watching him.

Deano is a player that we should push the boat out on if we had the slightest chance of buying him. How much would he cost with a contract lapsing soon ? He has real talent and will only get better with experience (if possible)

He would have a massive re-sale value because he will likely end up as a top 6 Premiership keeper in the future.

Edit: It appears he signed another contract with MUFC last June :(

Didn't realise his contract ran out in July, he could be sweating on remaining on Man U's books. Also means we could get him for next to nothing, or at least just a sell on clause to benfit Man U

Nor did I until I read that post. Then I read the one directly below that says he signed a new contract last year.

No doubt his agent would be saying exactly the same if we show any interest.

Let’s say our biggest earner is on £15K per week.
What would you do if Hendo’s agents opening gambit was requesting a wage of £40K a week (2 million a year contract).

Should we push the boat out making this inexperienced young goalie an instant millionaire giving him much more than anyone else. How will it make the other players feel?

We should push the boat out yes, but not break the wage structure. Make up the salary shortfall with a signing on fee. I feel that position is crucial to building a successful squad.

Look how many points he has WON us and not saved us from.

* I wouldn't exactly class him as inexperience either

I think we would have a good chance of getting for another season, whichever league we are in. Realistically, who would he replace as a number 1 in the Premiership at the moment? Fulham maybe?

That’s a good point. Especially when you consider Butland can’t get a move to a PL club.
