Is this me putting two and two together or does he want to be here permanently?
he’s quite clearly saying ‘i hope i still get the backing when i make a mistake’
(all keepers make mistakes).. he’s banking the goodwill for the future.. clever thinking

His funniest moment yesterday was when, following him smothering a low shot in the second half, G&H erupted into chants of 'Deano, Deano'. He looked up and did a slow, appreciative nod.

It oozed confidence.

The best thing about our goals are his celebrations! Don't think I've seen this kind of passion from a loanee before. Also, his interview the other day was class.

I like the lad’s passion but also his desire to play football not sit on his arse on the bench. His interview the other day where he was decrying players who are happy to sit in the u23s not go out on loan said a lot about him. Whether it’s here is a big question but he doesn’t feel like he would want to be anything other than a number one anywhere and that includes at Old Trafford.
Love the bloke’s attitude

No it's not. It's a thriving modern upbeat city. When did you last pay a visit Shrubbery?

Last worked there in January for a couple of months in the heart of the city. Not for me I’m afraid.

His pre match interview with RS was great, don’t know if it’s available anywhere but it’s well worth a listen - very honest in his opinions and wasn’t exactly complimentary about Man Utd and how they develop players.

He might do, later on, if things don't work out for him at Man U. He's made it clear that being 1st choice keeper for Man U is his goal - and you can't fault him for that. But it's not easy for him to get that job because they tend to "buy in" whoever they see as the top goalkeepers from elsewhere in the world. Realistically he is probably going to have to leave Man U at some point to achieve his ambition to be a first choice keeper at the top level, i.e. playing in the Prem.

However, if we were to get to the Prem then that door would be wide open for him. And I think that, more than anything, will be a massive attraction to him.

Remember last season he was on loan at Shrewsbury. No disrespect to Shrewsbury btw - but what he's experiencing here at Sheff Utd, compared to what he experienced there at Shrewsbury, is beyond comparison. I'll say something else as well...the atmosphere that our fans generate, take yesterday for example v Villa, is second to none. I've been at Old Trafford with 60,000 in there and the atmosphere wasn't anywhere near as good as at BDTBL yesterday. So that's a massive draw as well.
