I doubt his wages are ruinous tbh. He only signed a contract last summer but Man U we’re close to letting him go weren’t they?

I think he's been a great keeper for us. But I also think he's a little immature, has more mistakes in him than you'd like from a PL goalie and isn't commanding enough on crosses. .

I would say though that the fact we have the meanest defence in the league and that he won the golden glove means that any perceived weakness doesn't come across in terms of the numbers.

Personally I think his command of area is remarkable for a keeper of his age, especially in such a direct division.

Yeah I totally see the other side to it. His performances across the year have been very good. And don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him back next season. I just don't think it's the end of the world if it doesn't happen.

Wilder has no place for sentiment. Make no mistake if Henderson comes to us on loan and plays a season in the prem and does well, all of a sudden his value rises considerably. We would be doing Man U a favour just as much as they would be doing us one. For this reason I don't think Man U are in a position to demand silly money by way of a loan fee or wages. There might be clubs willing to pay more to loan him. But guaranteed first choice in the prem? we're Hendersons best bet for that.

Ole said himself Henderson coming here for a year in the prem might be the best thing for him. But it may not be for us.

If an equally capable GK is available for permanent transfer for a decent fee, I wouldn't rule out wilder opting for that over deano.

Established top flight club with all the associated / accrued benefits of being there for 3 years, particularly financially (x3 lots of Prem £; wealthy owner established Premiership players that are reputed to be 'worth 10's of millions) vs "journeymen on a journey ..." Unclear / unstable (?) ownership which apparently 12 months ago put us at risk of collapse & having just received the 1st instalment of Premiership coin which is identical to that received by the lesser club( & 18 others)

Simple
A pay rise is only a sweeter. If they can tie him down to a longer contract and he has a good season in the premier league then his value will rocket. They will then either have a decent player to make an impact for themselves or will get at least double the fee they may have got for him now

No. We only heard from one side at moment. That side said that the other side did not have the funds to put into the club when it needed it and that there was only enough cash to last 6 weeks. We were not told when this was.

The other side has not responded to that point as yet.

I've sat through enough tribunals in my time to know how points are exagerated by one side or the other to try and strengthen their case, with or without merit.

Permanent transfer or sign Etheridge for me. Etheridge is a better keeper now, if we only have Deano on loan it doesn't how good he might be become, we won't see it.
