Deadline day Predictions - incomings

As I predicted above at #16, the entirely predictable has happened. I wonder if people appreciate how "same owd" their "same owd" comments are?...
I'm looking for an escape route if it gets worse - is Barrel of Money still going?

The reason I set this up was to enable us all to compare and contrast at the conclusion of the window.

A decent all round CM on a permanent, a vocal combative no nonsense defender who is competent on a permanent. A young tricky quick winger on loan from a PL or Champ side. An experienced keeper on loan. If we get the above I'd be very happy i think they need to be in that order of priority too. Obviously if the beard or DCL goes another RB and a target man.

Brayford can fuckoff for me on far to much for what he does

That’s a classy attitude to show to a bloke who took a pay cut and dropped a division to play for us after he’d developed such a great rapport with our support. He gives his all but is struggling to get back to his best after a horrendous injury. Still better than most full backs at this level though.

p.s. I'll go for 1 permanent and 1 loan.

I accept that. However, some of the responses are all too predictable. I look forward to the end of window debrief. I shall join in with the venom if appropriate. It would be nice to think the 'same owds' will praise their club if appropriate but that may be too much to ask.

Praise where praise is due.

The loan market is massively important in leagues 1 and 2.
A club is potentially able to bring in a top player on the cheap.

Basically any players in the PL or Championship are not normally going to drop down to league 1.
Their agents will demand either big money or all kinds of release clauses, bonus clauses etc.

However players in the PL or the championship are much more interested in joining us on loan.
It's a trial period where they can suss out the club, play some football and get their careers on track.

I'll predict at least 2 loaness
And 1 maybe 2 permanent signings.

OK let's play.
Depends how many points we've got:

0 to 3 points = 5 incomings (3P 2OL)
4 to 6 = 4 (2P 2OL)
7 to 10 = 3 (2P 1OL)
> 10 = 2 (1P 1OL)

If we don't bring any in then as long as we "couldn't complete the deal" then OK. However, if we have any single utterance of the phrase "couldn't get over the line" I'll be incandescent with rage (and not at the lack of players coming in).

one things for sure if they put the Che money in the post Office with the Harry, 2xKyle, McDonald et al money Wilder won't mince his words letting the fans know he wasn't backed.

He does seem to be a fair bit more open in his interviews than previous managers. Almost the exact opposite of Adkins in that regard.

Anyone think the explanation for Billy & Brayford being off-form is because they are leaving ?

Thought this deserved bumping.

Can anyone summise the ins/outs so far? I can't be arsed. Be more helpful if wages/fees were available - Silent Blade one for you?

Dont know about the wages and fees for this season but last season there were at least 12 of our players that are/were on £5K or more a week. A few months ago I did tell you that at least 9 new players were supposed to have agreed to come to us. Well, we have now signed 9 players permanently this summer! I think Duffy and Hussey were two of them. I believe Law and Hanson were supposed to have agreed to come to us but circumstances have changed a lot since last January!

Yes Adkins would have possibly signed Hammond permanent ?

I felt it was still possible that even with 'cuts' we'd still have a sizeable budget. But to me now it appears Wilder has been advised he needs to sell to buy.

In 05 summer Warnock told Mcabe he needed a budget to get us up and the whole club felt United then.

I feel someone needs to get Mcabe back to uk and Wilder tell him to back him

Caolan Lavery - permanent around 300k
Donovan Daniels - Loan
Young PL Midfielder - Loan
