Can’t believe we are selling one of the most exciting players to have ever pulled on a Blades shirt to bloody Bournemouth - this is an absolute joke. Really hope this isn’t happening.

Read the thread NUMPTY its not only me that thinks that.

Wowzers, resorting to personal insults is really going to help things.

Anyway, my point was that it doesn’t matter what any of us on here think is ‘silly money’. If Wilder thinks £12m is silly money then he’ll agree the sale.

Go away ya boring me to death again.

Another one gone on the cheap? Never change Blades.David Brooks' don't grow on trees. If and when he was sold it should set the club up financially, and put us in a competitive position in the market, and with the financial regulations. 12 million would do neither, and be a paltry amount for such a player.I just hope it's tabloid bs.

Stop talking bollocks and maybe I will.

Wilder has said he gets final say on all transfers, you either believe this or assum he was lying. If Brooks goes then it’s because we’ve got a deal Wilder is happy with. Why would he then walk away?

We don't know the fee to be fair, and we probably never will do. I wouldn't believe everything you read in the papers, especially the national papers regarding the transfer fee. In an ideal world we'd all love to keep Brooks but ultimately Brooks has his price like everyone else and also we have no knowledge of the agent's involvement which could well be telling. How long has Brooks has Che Adams agent now? 5 weeks and he's gone! I also think that United would have known if Brooks was likely to go this summer and its much better that its happened now than in 3/4 weeks as it did with Michael Tonge, Nick Blackman, Stephen Quinn and Jamie Murphy.

Good luck ti Brooks and the people/s responsible for bringing Brooks to United as a 15 year old can be congratulated on that as its just made us a huge transfer fee and hopefully will be partially re-spent! We live in hope!

Nobody gets so little out their acadamy talent than United. In terms of game time and money.

I know what you mean but we're never likely to keep hold of a talent as good as Brooks for more than one season, two tops. If we'd kept him this season but hen couldn't get suitable quality around him than it might be argued its better he leaves. We'll only know if this was good business at the end of the window.

Would you take £12mill plus a season loan back? If we go up this year happy days, if not wilder is likely to start looking elsewhere anyway....

A shit or bust kind of season without the financial fuck up that the pigs employed

This would be, imo, our best chance of going up. Let's face it, we don't have the budget to compete with half the teams in the league. If the (I'm making myself laugh typing this) fee is fully or mostly reinvested then it would put us in with a decent shot.

I doubt they'd loan him back though. He'd probably feature in their squad.
