I don't know why Clough doesn't just apply for the Derby U23s manager's role given he seems determined to turn whichever side he's in charge of into them.

Silly me thinking Brayford, COUTTS, Ben davies and Freeman and Steve davies did a good job for us (actually....... that is a few lol)

And Basham. I thought Done did a good job for us in the first half of last season too. Poor goal record but infectious enthusiasm and hard work.

Done off the ball running was a joy to behold, problem was he never knew where to run as he was never a striker.
Reminds me of when we bought Jon Cullen from Hartlepool. Fred eyre was told to go and buy us a new striker, he had a look round and eventually recommended Cullen who had scored a few for Hartlepool and was highly thought if by his club.
My mate was having a tour of the ground before his debut and spoke to Cullen in the dressing room asking him about signing for the Blades etc. And how he felt about being our new centre forward, to which Cullen replied he did not know what he had been given the number 9 shirt as he was a midfield player.
Thankfully things have improved under CW

Ha ha - if you think Steve Davies and Brayford (perm) did a good job for Utd, you must be silly. If' you're widening the debate to assess the overall success of Clough's recruitment you need to include McEverly, Higdon, Scougal, Alcock, James Wallace, Paynter, Porter, Butler and agree the deal for Sammon before he was sacked

If that doesn't highlight how good CW's recruitment has been nothing will

I know he was wank but his name was McEveley not McEverly, Macavallie, Mick Everly or any other spelling.
