The sad fact is I think our chances if of automatic promotion are as good as gone I really can't see us gaining 8 points on Donny or tranmere so looks like it will be playoffs again for us and we all know what that means. Also we will be without kitson next season. When did the pigs get rid of megson. Maybe if in this position with ten games to go it would be worth a gamble.

If our form of 4 wins from the last 13 games continues, we wont even make the play-offs

This may have been posted elsewhere, but I was impressed with Wilson's interview:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20996550

Some interesting subtext in there. Unhappiness with experienced players, the suggestion of something more to Williams' absence, the need for calm not 'hoof', expecting more from McDonald.

Plus the honesty of saying we're 'not doing enough', the lack of pressing and three or four areas of the team not performing.

At least this suggests his analysis is very similar to that of the fans, which hasn't been the case with previous managers. The question then becomes what can he do to change these things?

Doyle should be dropped, not performing for me but neither is flynn or blackman. How we miss Collins and Hill and who would have thought that. Let's just get behind them all. These will be back soon and so will JF. Just because we have the highest attendances in this division and possibly the highest wage bill does not give us the devine right to be top of the table

How many games have you seen this season?

Fair play, but he does also say that we aren't paying as well as earlier in the season. We've been rubbish all season, but several ground out one nillers papered over it.

The style of play is almost unwatchable. It reminds me of the Robson days.

True enough. The only defence I'd offer is the err.. defence. Earlier in the season we were very good without the ball which enabled the 1-0s. Since that security blanket has slipped we've been poor all round.

On the football league show he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights, I'm not convinced he has got a clue how to get this set of players to perform, if as he says the pressure is getting to certain players then only he can remedy this. It don't take a genius to work out that if a player can't handle playing for a big club in front of 20,000 each week then he has no place at SUFC and should be shipped out pdq to carry on his career at non league level.

This is my 1st post. Everyone calling for dannys head wants to get real. I don't want the likes of Hill, tango man or people like these at my club. We have no chance getting such as Adkins,WE HAVE NO MONEY. Danny is a great guy and doing the best he can with little support from the fans or directors. Most fans were waiting for us to have a bad run just to say I told you so, an ex pig would not work. It's time the players took a good look at themselves and manned up. Also all you fans that say Danny doesn't have a go at players during match are totally wrong. I sit 5 rows behind dugout and can hear him shouting all the time at players. Just because he doesn't wave his arms about like a pillock doesn't mean he is not passionate about this job

Aww come on lads, it's obvious that chesblade is only a young 'un. He's still talking about heroes and Danny being a great guy  I stopped seeing footballers as heroes around about the time Alan Woodward left, we've had some good lads since then though, and the ragtag Bassett team with Deane and Agana showed just what being a Blade is all about but heroes? Nah, just overpaid individuals who in the main couldn't give a damn about the likes of thee and me.

Your naivety is very sweet young chesington, everything's nice, all will end rosy and the sun will always shine on Bramall Lane, and all that in spite of those nasty people who pay good money and have the cheek to moan and groan when things aren't great.

Same stuff we have heard from Danny for the last few weeks. I am glad he can see what we can see however what's he done or going to do about it. Show us your worth Danny and drop your captain and show them nobody is safe. Kevin McDonald needs a kick up the bum too, when he stops getting his appearance money to top up his wage then he might think about putting a shift in.

I would also put Kitson on a fitness campaign before he can't fit into his shirt anymore. Is our training ground turning into camp cupcak or something

* Note I know he can't drop Doyle and McDonald at the same time as we have no cover.

Judging by the substitutions (or lack of) of late there appears to be nothing he can do about it, which is as depressing as it is worrying.

I "loved" Gary Sinclair's line about our bench proving how rosey the future was at Bramall Lane, as if most wont realise it's a product of not being able to afford a decent squad.

In other Sinclair comedy, his doleful tones over the PA system after the home defeats to Hartlepool and Yeovil were so pathetic it was actually funny. Like a toddler who's just had a botty smack.

Course it'd be funnier for away fans but I'll take my entertainment where I can get it. :)

But why can't he give Whitehouse a try. How bad does it have to get? Ironside did more in his first 2 minutes than Kitson did in the whole game. The wingers need to be pushed on so they might actually get a pass in the final 3rd. Time to take the shackles off

I can't believe we can't find an improvement over Flynn. Surely we can perm something that doesn't look like it's running in treacle.

Though there's weakness in our playing staff, we're better than this. It's just so powder puff and slow. I hate this type of football - and I hope it's not what Wilson wants - but why does he allow the players to keep impersonating Flynn?

I am a Flynn fan so I would like to put a different angle on it. We don't pass to him in the final 3rd. We don't give him many 1 on 1 with the fullbacks. When was the last time you saw a pass to any winger inside the fullback or outside for him to run onto. Our wingers generally get the ball on the half way line so I am really unsure of what they could do better. There is a good player in Flynn when given the ball in the right positions as his assist record for us this season shows

Have to disappoint you but he is a she and have been going to lane for many a year. Season ticket holder and attend most away matches. Agree that we have not been at our best but still support them all including Danny and frank. To me nothing gained from being abusive to them. I know I wouldn't work to my best if someone was calling me things. Talking of abuse, some sick dad/grandad behind me yesterday with 2 kids no older than 5 or 6 coming out with obscenities that would embarrass any decent people. The likes of him most clubs can do without. God help those kids

The real intrigue here is that it has taken a season and a half for the shoes off brigade to really have a "case" of any sorts to have the utterly predicable rant when things go wrong.

Danny in. No question. Pep G he isn't. But realistically, who would be better ?

And changing the manager mid January when in a decent position in the league should be the preserve of fuckwit foreign owners who don't know any better.

Review things in the summer by all means.

Also. Collins for captain for me when he is back

Ah so he is a she.

Your move Prinny Anne

It sounds to me as if Williams is on his way.

If someone was telling me I was shit at my job I would pull my finger out of my arse and put it right. If I couldn't then I would move on or expect to be moved on.

So Wilson was shit before Ched went down
Answer no! Promotion was a formality and to most of us he was the saviour.
Now after a bad run he's shit.
Thats Bollocks

But name me a moment, in the last 4-5 years, when the fans booing and berating the SUFC side/a player has contributed to an uplift in a performance in a game?

That seems to be the thing at home we don't get behind the team but quick to criticise and it's getting worse.
Different story away we get behind the team.
It really gets to to me when tossers like Yeovil,Hartlepool ect with a Ioo-150 following are more vocal

Name me a club where it doesnt happen? Said it before, if you don't like the fans reaction to years of crap, stop serving up crap. Fans wont moan when it's good.

Ok but why do we get behind the team away and not at home.

The Shoreham now is like the JohnSt was in the 60s and 70s

Its never been much different. It was always better in the good old days. Away support has always been more battle hardened and has had less to cheer. Was there in the early 80s through to late 90's as an away follower and can rarely remember boos. At home somewhat different a story.

The blades way for me has always been the underdogs but ha guts. The current team are not showing enough effort for me. Doyle needs to go through a player 10 seconds into the next game and get that team pumped or fuck off and let someone else lead this tea

Note - Doyle to take ball first

That perfectly demonstrates the total apathy that has set in at BDTBL......

It's always been different away, you are a minority, it's tribal, you are on someone else's turf and you defend your clubs honour.....

The one thing that does annoy me though is the hipocracy of some fans. There was a chant go up at County, (admittedly it didn't last that long and it was a bit half-hearted....) for "there's only one Danny Wilson".....if you join in with that, (I didn't!) you can't change your mind 10 minutes later when we let a sloppy goal in and boo him then come on here and call for his head.

If someone was on your back all the time, shouting abuse to you and about you in front of ev eryone, you would sue them for harrassment and making your position untenable
