As somebody who decided to stay away from BDTBL while the likes of Bryan Robson and Danny Wilson was manager of SUFC, I hope that with the appointment of David Weir we will once again have a UNITED fanbase and club as well?
Now that a clean broom has been allowed to take over at the club I shall be once again returning to The Lane with hope and optimism that things can change for the better. Why the club chose to appoint the managers in question I do not know? Surely they should have seen the problems that were bound to happen with their appointments?
But that is in the past and it is to the future that we should now look to and begin to build a squad of players that can perform well and play attractive and entertaining football. In David Weir we have an unknown manager, but we will surely get a manager in a similar vein to David Moyes and the work ethics by which he worked, if we do then I'm sure that Blades fans will enjoy having David Weir as manager and I hope that all Blades fans who made a protest against the last manager's appointment and stayed away, will once again return to support the club.
So it is going to be good to chat with all that visit this board and get behind SUFC and once again become UNITED in our support of the club.
