Getting back into the prem is the ONLY goal.
Given the position we are in (3 points clear) it would be remiss of the club to not have goals to stay in the PL should we get promoted. I’m sure they’ll be plans in case we don’t get promoted.

If there are no contingencies either way we are in trouble.

I hate Cameron Archer
Never looked like he wanted to be at united and certainly didn't look part of the group
He's got a hard shot and that's about it
Can't hold it up, isn't particularly quick
Shit in the air and very one footed

If he was any good villa would have kept him
Id take campbell over archer all day long. By the end of his time with us, archers touches and finishing in front of goal were horrendous, whereas Campbell does not fanny about and is clinical

It’s certainly a goal, it’s certainly not the only goal in my humble opinion. Another goal for me is to not be a national embarrassment every week like we were last time. To show some fight
I think you could bring in BBD and expect him to be able to contribute if we went up but agree I’m not sure you’d want him as the main man. If we go up it’ll be a very expensive summer if we want to no embarrass ourselves. We’d need to bring in starting level talent at almost every position other than goalkeeper and I’d argue we’d need to bring in a much better back up there.

Inside info.....lol

Hmmmm

Archer couldn’t and currently isn’t hacking it in the premier league. BBD was better for us but is doing nothing this season either. This raises the question for me are either good enough for the prem should we get there?

They’d cost plenty, so do we want to spend a considerable amount on two players who might be fine for this level, but not good enough for the prem? For me it’s a bit short termist. Just my twopennorth
BBD did well for us though so I'd definitely like him back.

Crab we wouldn't be signing them we'd be trying to get them on loan. That's a no brainer, they improve the weakest part of the squad massively and then in the summer we look at who we want to sign based on what division we are in.

TBH I think both Archer and BBD r done at PL level with 2 embarrassing relegations in 2 seasons between them and very few goals

There's definitely got to be a gradual build up of quality in the team, last season we had a lack of quality all over the pitch, players who were good enough looked shit because they were surrounded by shit. Whoever we sign, I'll trust the process, I wouldn't rule any of the mentioned players out if that's who wilder, knill and des think will improve us in the medium term

I agree with that ,the few who had the skill to be in the prem were surrounded with crap which made them look crap to . McAteer , Harmer both looked poor but we know they were anything but garbage . The trouble with promotion is the outlay needed to stay there ,with bang average players going for 30 or 40 mill it is becoming a closed shop .Thats when a good Academy is priceless supplying home grown talent .

Thought archer never wanted to be at the lane ,kid never looks happy with his football

Agree. It didn't help that we were awful and the obligatory buy-back meant he knew he wasn't going down with the ship.
A very expensive loan all things considered (£4m for the year?).

Archer was playing in the Prem tbf. I think both players have the potential to be decent bottom quarter of the Premier League forwards. Both are certainly top Championship players when fit and confident.
