I didn’t expect us to sign him to be fair, but I don’t think this is anything other than him taking the gig for the money.
I could suggest a whole host of clubs that would be better for his career than going to Man Utd.
Reason being, he just won’t play for them, and will end up out on loan, and that club is currently broken!

A lower third premier league club is fair enough, but he really should be looking to get more game time in the championship IMHO. Oh well, he might just end up stagnating now instead of becoming the player he could be.

I must be honest, if it was a straight choice, I'd take James. Deano is good but there are others. James is quite unique.

Think defensive stability will earn us more points than a fast winger personally, considering we don't play wingers.

Man U will play him anyway. It's not like they've got better options at the moment.

but I reckon this'd be a long shot too as OGS wants to try and win with kids and play up to the 'club identity' they built when he was a player... except he'd be lucky to be half the manager SAF was... he'll be gone by October

I wouldn't worry about it. Transfer fees go up all the time. Bale cost more than Ronaldo for example

Personally would love to see us try and get Daniel James on a season long loan with Deano.

Think we could offer him the perfect platform to showcase his talent and give him the game time he needs in the premier league.

His searing pace is a massive +too as we are not exactly blessed with pace in our team and could do with 2 or 3 players like James that have real pace to burn and can get at the opposition which will be key especially in the away games when we look to break and relieve some of the pressure.
