In the 13 min interview the boardroom unrest was a small part of what was a very interesting interview, however as usual its the soundbite which the media want. They want to make it sound like he’s at the end of his tether.Just about to come on RS to comment on boardroom unrest.
Did Chris reveal any new information on the board issue or was it just the same old cant comment line?
Thanks dude, appreciated“I’ll be honest, there’s uncertainty. I’ve not had any direction on where we are going really. “I don’t want to get too much into it. But obviously I’m a planner. I have to plan because that’s what we’ve done since we walked through the door; medium and long-term. “But there hasn’t been (any directives) and there has to be, pretty quickly as well, to give us a chance to get the maximum out of what we’re going to do for next year.”
“Everybody wants that solution,”. “I should imagine both the owners do as well to be fair. I shouldn’t imagine they are particularly enjoying what is happening either.”
He is trying to put pressure on the owners to sort it out and sort it out quickly or we will have missed the opportunity to sign players who he no doubt has lined up. If this is the case we may as well write off next season, and if that happens and Wilder has any decent offer to move on we leave ourselves very exposed.
I suggest our owners have to Sort it by the end of June or all recruitment plans will be on hold resulting in CW being pissed off and being tempted to leave and I would not blame him. I would however make my feelings known to McCabe who has proven time and again that he is clueless when it comes to managing the affairs of SUFC.
How can he possibly introduce a guy as a partner and not confirm his level of investment or the terms of any deal for either of them to buy the other out?
Yes he has invested money into the club but has received some back in the form of signing over club assets etc. and he has been the architect of his own financial losses as he made all the decisions. In no other business do you throw the dice and then get your investment back if you make the wrong decisions. Why should SUFC and McCabes handling of its affairs be any different
Why would the owners of a private company disclose the details of any shareholders agreement they had?
This impasse in the Boardroom will surely be a joy to all those who wanted us to not get promotion this season but to “consolidate” and “strengthen” for next season?
I am not asking them to disclose the details of any shareholders agreement I am referring to Insinuations made by McCabe in his recent meeting at BDTBL that HRH had not provided his expected level of investment.
In addition If the terms of HRH investment and terms for potential price for one or other to assume overall control had been clearly laid out there would be no cause for delay.
It appears that McCabe has had second thoughts about allowing HRH to take overall control and HRH does not want the property, surely a decent contract should take account of these eventualities.
I do not wish to know the terms of the deal, I just want them to finalise a deal, or we run the risk of losing the best opportunity of making substantial, steps forward that McCabe has stumbled across for a long time
Who would that be then?

100m changes that for any team if spent correctly. No joy at all, Cerberus Blade . More a realisation that we're nowhere near ready for the PL.
Mr Scudamore, Mr Dyke, thanks for the meeting at such short notice.
We have decided that we're not quite ready for promotion, so would like to hand the opportunity over to someone who is even less ready for promotion, give them the 100m and let them have a crack instead.
Yeah, ok.
It is a view expressed by some on here since before the start of the season and throughout the season. It is a view I’ve always disagreed with because I think things can change very rapidly in football and there’s absolutely no guarantee that any team will be stronger and have a better season next season than the current one. So, to me, it’s all about making the most of the opportunities whilst they are there. “Consolidation” is something best considered when in turmoil, not when in a strong position, as we have been for most of this excellent season.Who would that be then?
As ever an excellent interview.
Short, medium and long views and plans. Love it.
Individuals and group better for the experience for next season.
Random thought. This often talked about ' intensity every day in training'. Has it all taken it's toll as the season developed? Wilder acknowledges the players have been 'physically and mentally tired' lately.

Anyhow, that’s all looking rather academic now as it seems inevitable we will remain in this division next season. That’s no mean achievement and I’ve really enjoyed it. I just want to see us take a lot of belief from what we’ve achieved and for Wilder to get the backing he deserves to help the club take a further step forward next season. But, it’s going to be very difficult for him to do that as things stand. I just hope my fears don’t come true and we find ourselves at this time next season, looking back on this one with deep regret that we didn’t just push the boat out a bit further, because that’s what I think we should have done.

It's ridiculous for anyone to turn down an opportunity for that. I seriously don't get the whole 'we're not ready for promotion' bollocks.

Personally i find it embarrassing that the bbc want to make a big thing out of this when wilder was discussing many other more important and interesting points

Fight - McCabe, He's got too much speed and power and has been seen sparring with Joshua at EIS in between training sessions with Mark Aston down at the Eagles.Yes yes Swiss......But what about the unrest! Who has more money, McCabe or the Bog Roll Prince? Which one is the pantomime villain? Who would win in a fight?
We need to know!![]()
