Cuvelier

Is he fit, it'd be nice to have some flair on the pitch on Saturday - am weary of watching our current table football style of play and what with Jose opting out...

Even watching subutteotable football Cuvelier still would not be fit and playing , due to the glue not sticking him upright . A class technical player , but unfortunately another who due to lack of fitness cannot be relied on for a first team place . Love to see him play from kick off or be on the bench , but just cannot see it.

He's out of contract so we haven't got anything to lose. If we're being honest we haven't even got anything to play for. If he's fit, play him. Let's finally have a look at him. He'd be playing with something to prove too.

Funny ,I actually said half way through the second half on Tuesday we are like a Subbuteo team ,a player will move make a pass or whatever then waddle about a bit and stand still.

Time is running out for him. He needs to get on the pitch soon or he will be getting released at the end of the season.

If he's fit then I hope he's given a go.

but with an extra bit of strategically placed glue on one side a technically gifted player could gain an advantage.

as if by magic....

I think he would flourish in the position Flynn played yesterday (though Flynn did nothing wrong)

------------------Long-------------------
-----Basham-Edgar-McEverly-----
Brayford---------------------Woolford
-----------Reed----Hammond-------
----------------Cuvelier-----------------
-----------Sharp-----Adams-----------

Good player. Needs to play every week now.
A very dedicated professional with talent deserves to wear our shirt not like that waster "Pablo baxterbar" . Cuvelier will be giving everything because he knows what it feels like to be unlucky with injuries and he's felt the pain of not been able to play for the last couple of years good luck lad .

Replaced Reed with Coutts, or if we'd signed someone like Morsy. Plus a decent left back and I think we look decent.

I don't want to be mean but he was on 25 minutes and I just remember him doing a little trick before over running it and losing possession and one other moment when he passed it about two feet. He ran around a bit. I wasn't sure which bit of midfield he was supposed to be in.

Not wanting to be on a downer but I was hoping he'd give me a bit more than that. I'm presuming he will start in hammond's abscence so good luck to the lad.

If he does impress and wants a new contract I hope he's going to be realistic and accept he's been vastly overpaid for his contribution thus far and is keen to repay the support for a reasonable wage.

If the guy and his agent have any sense , and SUFC offer him a contract in any shape or form in reduction , number of games , bonus related etc , he should take it.

Loyalty although thin on the ground within professional football on both sides of the fence , may come into play.

He has also to look at the player clear out cull , and see the majority of players are going to so called lesser clubs .

I think I would stick at a club that has hot showers in the changing room , if a satisfied salary amicable to all parties can be agreed.

Good to see a fit Cuvelier but still time to shine or break down. Jury perhaps still out.

Listening to Adkins's interviews the last few months, he's often been positive when asked about Cuvelier's efforts towards recovering from his injury, and it was noticeable that he was singled out yesterday for having precisely the type of good attitude Adkins wants at the club (with an obvious nod I thought to those that he wished had the same attitude).

That said, if he's to have any future at the club he needs to prove his fitness over a consistent period of time. Adkins is no doubt a better judge than any of us on whether that's likely, but looking from the outside in I'd previously put Cuvelier alongside Wallace & Kennedy on the list of people we can't rely on so should move on. It's important not to overreact to his return – I recall some were questioning why Wallace hadn't played when they saw him start his first few games at Shrewsbury. He's since broken down and fallen out of the team again, to the surprise of virtually nobody.
