I'd happily spend £30m on Mitrovic but........... wages.

And Assombalonga better not be down as Congolese, that will ruin everything if we sign him.

Well I heard from a source close to the club when we tried to sign Mitrovic on loan in the Championship he wanted 50k, so in the prem I bet hes looking at waaaay more than that. so indeed WAGES!!!!!!!

I wouldn't sign Mitrovic - doesn't fit in with what we're about.

I doubt CW would bring a player in from a Balkan country.

Point taken about the value though.

My main concern is quality and if we expect to go with quantity then we just have to hope we have enough to challenge this division.

We can stay with 35 points, but I don't want the repeat of the last 2 times we got relegated when it was a last game bun fight and circumstances going against us. We need 40 points for me: W11, D7, L20 - we have got to turn over some decent sides to get to 40 points.

It's statement of opinion - one which I won't play games with, based on what CW has done in the past in signing players for SUFC.

I'm not playing games: not signing somebody purely based on their country of origin is xenophobic by definition.

The reason we haven't signed any "foreign" players is due to the range of our scouting network - as Wilder has said himself. Considering Mitrovic has been playing in this country for several years, that's clearly not an issue.

The real issue is cost, not because our manager refuses to sign players from the Balkan region.

The mind boggles.
