Current players who would get in to all time worst XI

I'll raise you and offer Paul Richardson. Now he was shit.
That's almost worth a new thread. Most hated player ever. Those of us who can remember those days know we had three or four candidates around that time; him, Terry Cunt, Givens and Matthews.

I think we're in a 'golden age' of terrible players being fixtures in the side, at least. The likes of Collins and Howard are automatic first choices and bloody McEveley was made captain!

Talia, Andy Campbell, Lee Baxter and the like were never regulars like some of the shower nowadays

No micheal twiss? Who was that dutch goalie we had under warnock?

Thought vonk was a great player him and ablett were a fantastic partnership
That was HK's first season wasn't it? Vonk had the turning circle of a tanker but he was solid, strong and dominant in the air.

What was the name of that centre-half?

The one who's daughter came on to defend him when he was slated a while back.

HH

At GK Derek Richardson was worse than Howard
At RB Tony Moore was worse than Freeman. As was Ross Davidson
At Right midfield Steve Hawes was woefully out of his depth in the mid nineties and far worse than JCR.
CB, Mark Blount was worse than Collins but obviously played far fewer games.

Goalkeeper. Baxter in his brief career makes all orhers inelligable

Not sure they're the worst but Howard and McEveley are two truly awful players to have in any team with aspirations.
Yet we seem to have got worse without him be in in the team ?

Does anyone remember Alex Notman (think that was his name) a striker on loan from Man Utd for the season, probably the season after Michael Twiss. I think he had one leg longer than the other.

Exotic loan signing from Le Harve Nicholas Weber in 1999 was a good contender too.

My all time worst 11

L Baxter

J Curtis. D Gysbrechts. N Nosworthy. N Weber

A Smeets. N Henry. J Cullen. J Hunt

L Ten Heuvel P Suffo

Thx hello. Yes it was Middlesbrough now you mention it. Probabley a plumber by now
If I remember rightly someone paid a million quid for him

Edit: just checked it was Cardiff. I wonder if Europes finest striker coach Alan Cork was behind that deal while he was managing them

You get a like just for remembering Jon Fucking Cullen! How bad was he?!

Other shite I haven't noticed on my quick skim of this thread:

- Steve Yates
- Nicky Marker (I don't think he had joints in the middle of his legs where the rest of us have knees)
- James Thomas
- Darren Bullock (I think that was his name)
- Adam Burley
- Joe Ironside

Sorry brownie , none of the current squad get anywhere near my team

And barnyblade , Scougall? Are you on crack? He's got the ability to be one of the best players in our current squad. No great feat I appreciate, but worst players ever? You're either having a laugh, or you don't really understand football.
I think Scougall is awful. Sorry you don't share that view.

Ashley Eard, one of the worst , most over rated layers I have ever seen in my life. What a waste of a wage.

One of Warnock's worst signings.

Although being shit does pay well as you can see by his house:

Premier League journeyman Ashley Ward has an insanely cool house - and it's on the market

As it turns out, you don't have to be the most successful footballer to have a sweet, sweet pad...

Ashley Ward and his Cheshire property
Ashley Ward is a man with several unwanted accolades.

He was, of course, the first man to be relegated from the Premier League with four different clubs - Norwich, Barnsley, Blackburn and Bradford.

He also once scored, missed a penalty and saw red in the space of five minutes while playing for Barnsley - an achievement now referred to as "the Ashley Ward" in Sunday League clubhouses across the land.

Fortunately for him, even the most prosaic top-flight footballer can bag a sweet property at the end of his career.

Ward's house, located in footballer-friendly Cheshire, is quite frankly ridiculous.

Ashley's wife Dawn, a successful interior designer, outside the pad

The property includes 12 acres of land, a sun room, beauty salon, cinema room, games room, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym.

An aquarium! Velvet stools!

Plus it's for sale - though probably not at a particularly affordable price.

Loads of bright red chairs!

It's currently one of the top five most viewed properties onRightmove, but it still hasn't been snapped up.

Look at that hedge!

Fair play to Ashley anyway.

Not bad for four top-tier relegations, Ash. Not bad at all.

Apart from the OP, which is largely ridiculous, there's a few other shocking shouts on here.

Nicky Marker I think won player of the year and was solid at CB.
Steve Yates was a reasonable utility player who didn't let us down.
Alex Notman was a busy striker, no great shakes, but didn't he come back on loan a second time because he was well liked.
Scougall is alright but has never recovered from that injury.

Real crap we've had is Lee Baxter, Jasper Johns, Ian Hamilton, James Thomas, Luke Beckett, Steve Simonsen.

What? Is this a miss-print or just bad memory? Vonk isn't anywhere near a worst 11 in the last 50 years I've been watching!!!

Just a quick thought:

This current squad is head and shoulders (the fact it isn't physically is the main problem) above the the one Weir left us with. You can go back less than two years and find Tony McMahon, Fabien Brandy, Matt Hill, Lyle Taylor, Billy Paynter, Darryl Westlake, Paddy McGinty, I'm stopping now as I've got a bit of sick in my mouth remembering this lot . . . .

Have a like.

Whenever I see the latest "worst ever!" claims, I wonder if the poster is 18 months old and has learned to post on the internet before being weaned.

Lads, I am on holiday at the minute and have to say I have been sat here laughing my head off, haven't we had some utter crap at the lane!

One name that seems to crop up a lot is Nyron Nosworthy. How did he ever get a job as a pro footballer?

What about when Marcus Bent came back on loan in 2011, a shadow of his former self (I guess you would be after 11 years), absolutely shot shy in front of goal.

Where the fuck are Willie Falconer and Barry Hayles ?
Im sorry but Howard isn't in the top 10 worst keepers ,hes not even the worst keeper at the club now.

Quite clearly the answer to the OP is zero.

As for those that have included Howard in there, there's probably an XI of its own that are all worse. I'm no fan of Howard, and I've been saying for quite a while that we need someone better than him, but to suggest he be on a worst XI is utter nonsense.
