So my club contact knows I’ve posted on here but now I think the person* is trying to bring me down by making me play a howler….

Because I got this message…

“Hamer is signing an improved contract. Highest paid player ever for United. Similar to what was offered to Ndiaye and more than he was on in last season. We still think we will lose him next summer though if not promoted. I don’t know if there are any clauses in there about if we don’t get promoted this year.

Campbell has signed. Might be announced today but it’s not very predictable until I see whose in”

Someone else mentioned this last week about Hamer and a new contract. Think Wilder hinted something related when he said (last week) we will have some good news next week.

He was pretty shite yesterday. Not sure how he’s bagged himself a new deal in the process 😂😉
 
Wasn’t expecting a message today, but someone is obviously keen

“Deal with palace will be done. Neither player or owning club looking at other options. Verbals in place. Agent isn’t a dick. Paperwork should be done mon/Tue. May be a rushed announcement made before Wrexham game to gloss over any loss

Cooper will also be done and registered before QPR. Everything agreed from all sides. Speculation that any social media noise today was so that Ply could show that their keeper is good and that they need to sell Cooper to invest elsewhere

Can’t comment on AO-C as I just don’t know

Vini absolutely still for sale despite other people saying nobody is. He is still the one player that could attract an amount much in excess of what it would cost to replace. But tbh he hasn’t attracted anything like that so far.

Hamer reworked contract still happening. Maybe it won’t be announced publicly but he will be our top paid player. Really we are just stopping him leaving before next summer “

However I have asked about wilders thoughts re selection for the Wrexham game. Those of you who usually see me pre game…if you dont…it’s because I knew who was playing. That fucking Lincoln game last year nearly made me cry

I only post what I’m told, but it seems odd. Before the buy-out clause lapsed, I wondered if the new contract was so we could increase the amount, or remove it altogether.

Now I wonder what we get for the extra £

As I see it, contracts buy you:
1. Performance (the player)
2. Time (contract length)
3. Decreased risk (conditions/terms/probabilities)

So to increase the cost of the contract, I can only imagine it’s improving 2 or 3 for us. Don’t imagine it’s a longer contract, so there must be some conditions in there that we think are worth the money? Perhaps there were other terms in his contract that we didn’t like, which will now be removed, or maybe it’s as simple as him and his agent have said if you change the contract to x I will no longer have any discussions with any clubs until next summer? In other words, remove distractions and keep midfield settled. You’d have to think if he’s playing well, a desperate PL team may make an approach in JTW

But I genuinely have no insight. Pure guesswork

But let's be clear here, I am absolutely not ITK. I am simply sharing info from someone else. And what I am sharing is really fucking mild. It's like a Korma. Fairly satisfying but also very forgettable. I am one single simple tiny bit of wrong info away from being forum-fucked like a pretty tourist on a Delhi bus

If I'm the main ITK'er, we know nowt 🤣 Got f'all of value to add today, really. Chatting last night, I will only hear current stuff around existing rumours. Nothing 'breaking'. Too risky for my contact, which I'm sure we all understand. Old Programme seller said I added "meat on the bones" to a rumour. That's a great way of summarising what I might be able to offer. Nothing more, really

Contact still adamant about Hamer new contract though. Keen to see if this happens and made public.

Showed me pics that proved (to my satisfaction, anyway) that 🧤&🦅 did medicals on Monday, despite other reports that talks were ongoing and only finalised Tuesday. Cooper didn't travel back south after Wednesday game.

Contact works in 'football commercials', so think 'contracts', whether they are between players to SU (buy in), or other club to SU (loan in). Outgoings, no idea. Doesn't see it 1st hand. Does hear other stuff from colleagues of course, but hesitant to share it as outgoings are supposedly more unreliable than incomings. However, when this person gets involved in an incoming, it's fairly advanced, so then happy to share with me. Only one non-incoming transfer-related that contact has revealed was the main sponsorship agreement. Has absolutely no idea with the ownership change, which is impressive from the club.

On that note, bit of insight on me. I was heavily involved with the P&O Ferries infamous incident a couple of years ago*. I ran the project to make the change that hit the headlines: planning, ran all rehearsals, ran the play-by-play on the actual day, ran the 'return-to-service' project with the new crew, ran engagements with our lovely politicians. Keeping things hush-hush is an incredibly hard thing. And by incredibly, I mean you are on a hair trigger at all times, expecting someone to leak something for their own gain / 'ethics' reasons. Biggest achievement of my career was keeping that hush-hush, and I've done some great stuff. So hard. Blades have done really well to keep the ownership change on the down low, believe me. We may call the leadership amateur, but this is exceptional. Junior staff have to get involved with contract and financial work. They are the ones who know how to use the systems and tools. They also need to have access to 'everything' on the systems to do their job, so they can undoubtedly see details or hints at information we and journos would love to see. If you read this forum, hats off to you x

(Only sharing the detail on me because some muppet messaged to say he knows who I am and what I've done. Yeah mate, A business brought me in to run a project they felt would save their company and 2000 jobs, but it had major downsides too, And I did well, because I'm good. Jog on)

I’m famous at last!

I’m sure that you’ll agree people are restless for information as there’s not been anything come out of the club to keep us amused but well done for giving us what you could or can. Keeping ‘us’ in the loop with more ‘meat’ would be very much appreciated also explaining the real ins and outs of contracts and negotiations makes us wiser (well some of us) signing players is not dead easy anymore not like in the old days anyway.
 
OK, a bit more info on the JRS situation. I'm not sure if the below has been sorted, as my contact admits they are always a day or so behind.....

But, it's about a contractual condition in the agency contract not being met, which is a condition of signature. That is the main fact. The rest is good-guess specilation from my contact... Likely there is a pre-payment or payment guarantee to the agency that is in the contract that has either not been met (pre-payment) or failed a check (payment guarantee). Basically we have agreed to something and not followed through.

So anyone saying the agency are being greedy or agents are scum, this is a contractual agreement, in writing, that the club have made with said agency but not fulfilled. To quote my contact, "agency agreements are usually agreed before player ones are. It's like an agreement to discuss. So it's very weird that this has not been fulfilled. I've done this for 11 years and only seen this once before and it was because a club didn't have the funds to pay upfront, but it was a non-league club."

Not trying to turn this into a 'the prince is skint' situation, because that isn't true. There must be more to this, if not already resolved

That does sound like the most feasible explanation I've seen. Rather than 'agent forgot his pen' or 'another team have swooped in'.

But the main points are the player HAS signed contract (Monday), and Palace HAVE signed contract (Monday), so this will work itself out. No way on earth an agency make a deal fall through. They'll sign it (if not already have), and get the deal across the line, and the league/FA will make sure they get paid, or sanction us

We all love a "one of our own", and we have all love Wilder, Billy, Blaster signing deals, but I'm told that when it comes to Peck, there was no negotiation, no debate at all. It was a yes. Not sure if that means he has no agent, a family member acting as agent, or just a player-focused agent, but we have have him signing up to a 4 year deal, I'm told. Not sure if that's 4 on top of his current, or 4 years from now. I have asked.
