Actually, it might end up with a gig on Bladespod with Beans, but on it's own it's not enough. We need to work together to come up with more nonsense words, because Roygbiv is the fucking master and has a head start on us. Let's do Tuesday at Manchester Uni? There's some good AI tech there. Reckon we should rope Hecky in as well.

Only thing of note mentioned today is my contact has not been asked to do anything with an Arblaster contract. So I take it from that any noise around a new contract is either not true at all or not happening yet

I’m told nothing concrete in the Cannon loan rumour, but contact unsure if a buy may happen. Have asked for clarification as that’s all a bit more vague than usual.

To say we don't even know who the new owners are (other than a couple of names) possibly shows it will be that way. The leaks will probably come from the management team over the owners advisors.

Clarified that buy looks more likely than loan but still under discussion.
 
I’m going to hear nothing now for rest of window. Contact has to make sure they are safe in their work and “understand how any new management are wanting to allow details into the public”

So the last thing I was told…Cannon not concrete, but if it happens, it’s more likely a buy than loan

You said in a different post around this time that wilder was being clever in a presser implying that signings would be made when he said there wouldn't. Not a dig at you things just seemed to collapse fairly fast at the end. Your contact was at the point of having to "understand" the new management and seemingly we had deals lined up and then nothing. I think if we got Sarmiento and Cannon, two areas we could do with more options in id be 100% confident of top two. Did you get any further information on this Cappy?

Yeah I was told there were four contracts drafted and ready for signing on deadline day.

In my newbie ignorance, I read too much into this and assumed it meant there were imminent signings. In reality, they were drafted in case discussions accelerated and a deal needed to be done quickly. It seems it’s quite common on deadline day that clubs have contracts ready. My contact is very factual in the messages I get, and I got carried away on this occasion

By the way, I am told that restructured contract for Hamer did get finalised

I also know something about how close the takeover was to completion, which I may share down the line. Nothing groundbreaking, but it was so close that there were actual staff changes internally.

Interesting, I won't pester you for more. I suppose that's the stuff clubs have to do for deadline day. We will never see it but I bet a bet a 11 players we made contracts for that we didn't sign would be interesting. Id like to think Jason koumas is on it.

I didn’t get that detail. I have never been given a name that wasn’t already in the rumour mill. My contact isn’t a close friend, just an acquaintance. No chance I would be trusted with anything that could cause the person grief at work, and rightly so.
