This is the PL, Norwood with the athletic prowess of a pub league player, genuinely. In fact, had that been my attempt at stopping a midfielder run past me when I played Sunday league I'd have had strips torn off me.

When CW identified pace and power as key requirements in the summer why didn't he sign any? We're so fucking small and slow, particularly in midfield. Fleck, Osborne, Norwood, too small, no power. Have we won a header in the midfield yet?

If ampadu was out player learning the game for our benefit I’d be slightly more forgiving but he’s not. If he can’t make a positive impact for us right now then we don’t need him I would honestly send him back.

This is worse I've seen us;

• Giving the ball away too cheap.
• Too many needless free kicks given away
• The majority of our players first instinct when they receive the ball is to stand still and then go back.
• We commit so many players to wide positions that when the cross finally comes in there are usually 6 defenders v 2/3 attackers. We are then wide open when they break.
• Constantly wrong side of our men

He came from there but hes prem quality it was easy to see, rolls royce in terms of touch, ability dribbling etc. But he wouldnt run enough to satisfy some on here. Our team of ‘triers’ are being shown up by quality once again.

To be fair, Norwood is entitled to dive in, knowing there are players behind him. Ampadu’s ‘challenge’ was appalling.

How long does the "best manager we've ever had" mantra last - 20 without a win? 30? 50? Two years? It's a serious question to anyone. Is there an actual cut off point where the present actually outweighs the past?

I will say that Amapdu needs to go back. Stevens needs resting. Osborne is a trier but he too lightweight.

This game is gone. We move on to the next one with hopefully a few much needed additions to help boost morale and creativity with a dusting of finishing please.

I think I might be in a minority of one, but I thought we were better with the ball than we have been. Problem is we never look like scoring and every time they get in our half, they look like they'll score.

Thought Norwood looked more like himself in terms of his passing but if we had enough fit players, I'd send Ampadu back. Noted two or three times he's given it away and put us under pressure and he's just let Eze stroll past him to score. Far too easy.

Bash isn’t a midfielder at this level unfortunately with how gash ampadu is we haven’t really got any options. That’s what’s depressing me is I can’t see a change we could make to improve our midfield right now with what we have available.
