I don't think I'll bother. It would be nice to go back, but I'm not going to start wetting the bed every time I can't go. Can't be bothered with the arguing it will inevitably cause.

My idea?

19 games, first 12 games based on month you were born, so game 1 January birthdays, 2nd game February etc etc.

The inevitable "I go with my kid who was born in August" argument will arise. Its not a perfect system. Nothing will be. The january man can take his kids or grandkids. Those kids are then removed from the rota until they can go back on the 13th game.

Summat like that

That supposes that their is an even spread of birthdays between ST holders across all twelve months?

But I think they could do it on ST seat numbers, seats 1, 4, 7, 10 etc one match, 2, 5, 8, 11 etc then 3, 6, 9, 12 etc meaning you get to go to one in every three games.

Maybe hold a ballot for non ST holders to allocate the away end seats ?

Whatever, I think it’s all nonsense, they should just say everyone can go, with the stipulation that you must wear a mask and see how it goes?

I know it means an even spread (of sorts). It could be adjusted to suit.

What about if your mobile number ends in a 1 for first game 2 for second game?

Or who can piss furthest? I don't know. Its not an ideal situation

Or, get every ST holder lined up, select three captains and then they have alternate picks, old style ?

‘Oh, for fucks sake, come on (insert name here) we’ve got to have you’ 🤣

I think it's a complete nonsense. I do not wish to be "rotated" thanks. The risks of contracting this virus in the outdoors is minimal. I'd open it up to all fans and let them take responsibility for their own safety. If they want to wear a mask, fine, go ahead. If they don't want to come. Fine, stay at home.

I can understand why they decided to close these kind of activities down when the pandemic was at its peak. But that's not where we are at now. If you want to see what kind of risk there may be from having thousands of people in close proximity in the outdoors, there are lots of examples over the past few weeks to study. Take the crowds on Bournemouth beach for example. And what was the result of that? No significant increase in the number of new infections.

I'm ready to go shoulder to shoulder with my fellow Blades and sing my ruddy head off. I'll probably feel a bit daft doing that where I sit in the South Stand, as it'll probably turn into a solo. But, I'm ready to give it a go!

If we do this and we see a significant spike in new infections in the weeks following it - fine. Restrict it again. But in the absence of any evidence to suggest that this would be a significant risk to health, then let's look at it another way and start from the position of, "business as usual" because the sooner we get back to that mentality the better it will be for football and for all other aspects of life, work, business, socialising, economy, etc.

You suggestion is total logic.....don’t see why it can’t be implemented.
I went to Llandudno in North Wales last weekend. It was a real eye opener, hardly anyone wearing masks, even inside shops they weren’t required.
The pier and beaches were full....I’d say 10% wore masks.

I went to Butcher and Catch restaurant at Broomhill 3 weeks ago....fantastic meal but not a single mask anywhere
and the tables were quite close together too. It was great....seemed exactly the same as pre lockdown.
Restaurants and pubs open for a few weeks now....no increase in hospitalisations or deaths but this isn’t being reported.
Instead the media are still highlighting cases who have had a rough time with covid promoting more fear.

I’m over 50 and more than willing to return to a full stadium with respect for the virus but no fear.
I respect that some people are still scared and want to stay at home....so let people like me take part in this experiment to rebuild the country.

Don't know if this was covered elsewhere, but according to this...

They might let us/some of us, back in, but we won't be allowed to sing or chant!

That's going to take some doing eh? It'll be like trying to perfect the silent orgasm.🤔

Just like the players weren’t allowed to celebrate or touch each other when teams scored, like that happened.

I’m being devil’s advocate here, but it wouldn’t really be ‘fine’ for the 1 in 150 or so people who die, would it?

Wow.....you’re figure are way out....its an example of irrational panic and fear...currently 1 in 6,000,000 are dying.
Under Cerberus experiment.....even with a 600% increase in deaths....that still means the risk is 1 in million.

It’s not meant to sound callus but life is a risk....risk is everywhere...it can’t be stopped.
Facts show that the risk is so minuscule that surely it’s worth the experiment.

How about season ticket holders going to one in three games. Those with over 50,000 loyalty points get to choose which games they want to go to first, then 45,000, etc.

Everyone wear a mask and sing your hearts out, sorted.
Same household ST holders should be grouped together for selected matches to reduce perceived risk.
I was going to post similar. Everyone seems to be talking about a third of capacity and spaces between every occupied seat. An ideal scenario is that 32k of us all live together so no social distancing is necessary (though that should be split into smaller groups of Kop, South Stand, John Street, BLUT/Westfield Corner, BLLT and Kop corner).

To maximise attendance they would want to start with the largest household/bubble that want to go together and work down. That wouldn’t be fair on those (like me!) who don’t go with anyone from their household, but however they do it it would be madness to separate household groups attending the same game, or have members of the same household attend different games. I think they should agree with the relevant authorities how many empty seats are needed in front, behind and to either side of a group, and rotate the different group sizes evenly so that capacity is better than ‘one every three seats’ but fairly consistent game by game.

It’s an interesting maths problem!

What about junior blades lots of families go together with season tickets there’s no easy solutio. Let everyone back wearing face masks

My idea is to have bubbles.

You can amalgamate your ST holders in groups of up to 4, but each ST holder is only permitted to be in one bubble. They are them permitted to be seated together during the match.

Then a ballot is conducted for every game, if one of the ST holders in a particular bubble is selected then everyone in that bubble tickets.

For the first game everyone goes on to the draw with an equal chance of getting a ticket

For the second game it is seeded. The bubbles that didn’t get to attend the first game get drawn out first and then after they have all been drawn it goes to the next set.

Then all subsequent games are drawn out using a seeding method dependent on the number of games attended.

It’s quite a straightforward method, allows friends who have been going together for years to stay together, and boxes off the family members staying together problem.

Nothing will decided on loyalty points which in this instance means that through nobody’s fault that demand outstrips supply, and in this case I strongly feel the chance to attend games should be equally shared out. I’m on 52k points btw and up until he got stopped from going was guaranteed every away game.

Season tickets are sold at the start of the season and a pro-rata rebate/discount on the 2021/22 season ticket is issued at the end of the season, and season tickets are only available as renewals

With the non ST holders, a small number of tickets is held back for people to go in to a ballot for using the same rules as for the ST holders. They then could be using the Bramall Lane lower.

it’s a bit of a long winded and convoluted idea but one I think is fair and will work

I reckon it will be season ticket holders and members as the club class season ticket holders as members anyway. It will then be down to loyalty points. The club will have to allocate where you sit and advise you where you can enter the ground, which gangway, which facilities and how to exit the ground

Not a problem for my wife 😇

Sounds very long winded. Loyalty points should be used and those with the highest points should have first choice of which games they can go to. For fairness the club may sell tickets in groups of 4 games and each member/points holder can chose one game out of those 4.- eg someone on 60k points chooses game one and then cant buy another ticket in that group of 4 games

Too much admin 😉

Us Happy Clappers in moaners out , that will fill at least 10 % , we are more use to the team than the Groaners

I'd imagine so.

Interestingly, the fans with the most loyalty points are likely to be the oldest ones, i.e. the ones most at risk from coronavirus. 😳

Not all that likely I have over 57000 loyalty points my daughter has a couple of thousand less
The ones with the most loyalty points are the ones that have gone to away matches over the last 14 years

I have just resigned myself to not going to games for a while. Don't particularly like the televised games, so I have stumped up and joined a golf club and am going to attempt to be a better golfer.

If and when this is over I will be back. Once a Blade always a Blade but not being a regular season ticket holder for various reasons means I have little chance of getting in.

Whoever was at the infamous Port Vale home match under Heath, that was 8,900 wasn't it? Or 65,000 if you believe every f***er that says they were

I was genuinely there! My dad had got some kind of entry tickets or passes or something for us to get into the players lounge after the game. We went.... not a single blades player turned up but half the port vale team did (we had a drink and swiftly left).

Whilst we were leaving down the stairs, sky were interviewing Heath who had just resigned, at the bottom of the stairs, my dad was jumping up and down in celebration and got some daggers from Heath.

Then went out into the car park and Kammy interviewed my dad for sky, that is until someone shouted "What have you ever fucking done Kamara" to which he replied "More than you, twat" needless to say, the interview didn't make it onto sky.

True story..... albiet not a very exciting one.

Find it bizarre that they are not carrying on with all games on tv. Just pushing people to illegal streaming
