Cresswell and Kitson

Am I the only person that thought Cresswell made an impact when he came on?! And regarding Kitson I couldn't understand why he didn't come on earlier. We went long yesterday really with about 20 minutes to go and I couldn't understand why with the resources we had on the pitch. If we'd have shoved Kitson on earlier then it possibly would have been acceptable but generally I think Blackman and Cofie are poor in the air, too pooor infact; I'd start with Kitson and Blackman on tuesday and use Cofie as an impact sub, bringing pace into the game for the last half an hour if required. Their center halfs yesterday were awful, as shown with the first goal! Why anyone would play Sodje is beyond me, everytime he's played he's just looked like a liability however I didn't think we played on that fact enough and at no point did balckman/cofie run at him and put him on the backfoot.

You certainly are the only person who thinks Cressy made any impact he shouldn't even make the bench tomorrow neither should Kitson he's no where near ready.

I actually think this would be good, perhaps for 4-5 games. He needs to learn how to deal with being booted up and down all game, he needs to learn to counter this... Cresswell can help to coach him on this.

For Cofie its a big wake up, its no longer the academy leagues. If we're going to get the best out of this lad he needs to continue to get game time.

And lest face it, he knows where the goal is. But since Bournemouth have we seen him run at defenders?

So its not only Cofie that needs to learn, its the supply lines, they need to feed the strikers in the way that the strikers want, not just stick with the way that Porter/ Cresswell like it.

He has to learn to handle himself, you're right.

The options, i'm sure are more than capable, but we need to learn to play to different strikers.

Wilson has a poor track record with substitutions - usually too late to make an impact! or not at all!
This year all too predictable yet at Coventry his substitution putting Miller on created the goal and won us a point - since then Miller must have upset him -hardly a look in!

Personally I think if Wilson had elected to leave Cofie on rather than bringing on Cresswell to do battle we would have had a penalty sooner or later. There were so many off the ball incidents that left Cofie on the floor, I felt sure something would have had to give and one would have been spotted. Bringing on a big lad to deal with their big lads was a bit predictable and didn't pay any dividends.

Unfortunately guys, Cresswell ain't getting any younger or better, for most of the time he looks exactly what he is a washed up second rate striker looking to dive, fall and cheat at every opportunity - once in a while he may score, once in a while he will hold it up and lay off to either Blackman or Cofie but it will only be once in a while and the breaks will get longer and longer................
Also is it the cynic in me but I believe we have promised Fergie that Cofie will start every week.......
Miller looked useful at Coventry when he came on - surely he must be worth a start!

You must joking after Saturday Cresswell showed exactly what he his just a journeyman.
