Well if it is nearly 400k then I have doubts that we'll sign a midfielder, at least without further outgoings. That's a big fee for a 31 year old centre half and surely takes up a big chunk of our budget. If we're signing Buchanan as well then that'll be another fee on a 30 year old defender, reducing what we have to spend on a midfielder. Not ideal.

4oo k? no chance! they wanted him out to bring in that young shams player. 400 is way over top for a 31 year old centre back, his signing on fee will be the biggest part of whatever he cost but 400k no chance!!

If he is still as good now, as when I saw him play for 'Rovvrum' a few years back. He's worth the money.
Let's face it he was crucial to Rovvrum's promotion push to the championship, that's why Wigan bought him, and hey-presto Wigan go up.
I'm not saying he did it by himself, but from the few times what I saw, and my Miller-Mukker, who saw him home and away says,he leads by example..

I think in that article I also read it said we we're in for Byron Moore recently? Well he just signed for Bristol Rovers in the summer.

Hasn't Morgan played every game so far this season in a higher league, why would he drop down a division and also why would Wigan sell him if he's a regular.
Then there is the cost Championship wages not to mention the fee involved.
I might be wrong but still think Webster is the more likely especially if he is keen to move up North.

Webster has just signed a new contract this summer and Millwall will see us as promotion rivals so it will be a very costly exercise.
Morgan has only just got promoted so I reckon his wages won't be too high.

Wigan are trying to sign Reece Burke from West Ham so they will need to raise the funds for that. Also, I think they believe Craig Morgan isn't quite up to the standard they need, they also sold solid first teamer Jason Pearce to Charlton for that same reason. They're being very frugal, only spending what they earn and they still have some business to do to the deadline so need to raise what they can.

They are decimating their promotion winning team by the looks of it and I think it's going to end in tears. All that momentum gone.

This is all very contradictary. A lot of reputations on the line with this one.
Nixon didn't have to mention if he thought it was dead in the water surely.
