Not sure why Ferguson would comment on Alcock, he was released by them at the end of last season. Clubs don't care what players do once they are out the door.

Except for after releasing him, they offered him a new contract :)

He was waiting for him to sign a new contract it seems but admitted defeat yesterday....

Ah right, I understand. Posh lost their other right back, so they thought he might re-sign if they offered him something.

Obviously pissed off with them.

I know the name but can't say I can recall him playing at the Lane in March but seemingly he did.

Given Harris is probably unlikely to remain fit for a full season, it makes sense to sign someone that, like Freeman, can cover both full-back positions. He'd be another addition that's captained his side in the past too.

If he'll end up being back up for Brayford and Harris, then probably a good signing. If he'll be our first choice right back he sounds very unspectacular from what I've read. Pretty consistent and steady, but not the best going forward seems to be Peterborough fans' views. Not quick and about 5'8.

We should be looking to score more goals than last season, and if we'll be without the attacking contributions from Brayford, Maguire (?) and Coady we probably need to add more attacking qualities. So far we seem to have replaced them with more static players.

Is he Andy Taylor's brother?

Seriously, good luck to the lad, he's a Blade now, and we definitely needed someone in at right back :)

Sounds like another decent signing. He's obviously got something about him. He captained Yeovil, played 60 odd games for Posh in the Championship.

And a decent cricketer too, not quite up to good ol' Ted Hemsley, and as long as he doesn't bugger off next March to get ready for the new season we should be OK.

So another one in.

The defence is looking pretty much sorted now.

Now unto that striker..............
