Could someone explain the thinking behind our starting 11?

I don't want to be captain hindsight, and maybe there are good reasons to why he's picked the players he has, but I don't know them. So if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

Kennedy isn't fit at all is he? Hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the arse not replacing Collins, Maguire, butler or Harrison McGahey.

We don't need centre backs. All we need to do stick another midfielder in defense.

Sick of either brayford and/or basham playing out of position

57th game of an arduos season , spreading the load

great result today was hardest game left on paper

another game ticked off and lost no ground and gained on fleetwood posh and bradford city who all have lost and same haul as chesterfield and rochdale need just 2 wins to secure berth a win and a draw coiuld be enough

its called utilising the squad, they took the lead from a basham error no one saw that coming

Fitness after two derbies Saturday, Tuesday. And game time for McNulty. But he had a stinker. We're playing Tuesday, Saturday as well. That's part of it.

I suspect all teams are having similar issues.

Play-offs, whoever gets there, will be punch drunk boxers playing Last Man Standing.

Vital we don't lose to Chezzie on the last day of the season. Every chance we'll meet them in the play-offs and we don't want to hand them a psycholgical advantage.

Buckle up, it's going to be another roller-coaster!

Firstly it has to be relevant to both parties and imo it's important to have fit players.

If Chesterfield beat our u21s while the first team are.working on their passing I can't see it as a problem. :-)

I understand preserving certain players but why rest done and Davies but not Murphy or fynn?
Personally I want us to see beat as many teams as possible on our way to the playoffs, let's go into them flying and full of confidence.

We can't be to disheartened with the draw, shows we still have the fighting spirit that we will need for the playoffs, I have faith, resting some key players paid off (just) we need to keep the momentum going for the remaining games

Been saying Coutts needs a rest for a while. Looked much better again today.

Personally, playing our fringe players is essential now. Anyone one of the 5 could be called upon in the playoffs. You will not see the wholesale changes then.

MMcN hasn't played for a month, he needs time on the pitch. Showed he was a little ring rusty today, but he needs at least s nother game this month.

Second half today was the.most obvious passion and commitment I've seen them play with. Really stepped it up a gear or three.

Centre back and central midfield have been a problem since game one, not to have addressed it in Janaury was criminal.

In the summer we need two quality centre backs and at least one quality Central midfileder, whether we have the budget for it after the splurge in January I don't know.

We may have to sell to buy which would mean Murphy going as he is the only one worth a great deal at the moment.

McNulty was awful. May well need game time. Couldn't retain possession at all. Lost it 6 or 7 times first half. Kept it once or twice. Really put us on the back foot every time it went near him in promising positions.

At the risk of contradicting myself,McNulty is a confidence player and really needs games and goals

Fresh legs.

Have faith !!

Fresh legs , but bringing 5 players in upsets the balance and players do need time to gel , and always start a bit rusty . Said before the game id take a point , and in the end a fair result . Still on course and thankfully results went for us . Clough knows the score and the inherent problems , which at this stage , like it or like it not , were stuck with , and just cannot do anything about it.

Its a big risk to let him play into confidence at this stage. If we win on Tuesday things could be different.
I agree, I really like McNulty but right now I'd rather give done and Davies as many games as possible to gel, and hopefully become a strong partnership for the playoffs.

It's also a big risk having him as back up if he's well off his game. Start him against Yeovil? He had a cameo the other week and looked excellent. Today was as bad as I've seen him. Hope he comes good. Had a great chance early on.

Done and Davies will gel, giving them a rest today will give them an extra yard on Tuesday, fitness, confidence and ability are going to play a big part for the remaining games.

If the opposition are scoring from anywhere on the field every time they get the ball on target what can he do ?
Today we've scored two goals and hit the post, what more can they do !!!
Us 7 shots on target 2 goals them (the home side) 3 shots on target 2 goals........

Looks like more changes on Tuesday
Done and Davies carrying knocks, Murphy has a groin injury,McEverley has a shoulder problem again and on top of this are the players we know about.
