COOPER OUTSTANDING

I’m on the hype train. He’s at least a decent prem keeper and is worth £30m. Unsure about the talk that he’s better than Pickford or Henderson though. Mega performance today though.

Cheers Plymouth!

If we go up, we could get £40m for him, he’s that good, he’s single handed lay kept us in the top 2 race, there’s no way we’d be second without him.

He just oozes confidence, how did we get him for the price we did I’ll never know! He’s better than Henderson and Ramsdale put together, I think he’s our best ever keeper.

For many years I have considered Alan Kelly to be the best all round keeper I’ve ever seen in the Blades jersey and thought that I would never see anyone close to being as good .

Over the last few months , I’ve had to change that opinion and believe that Michael Cooper is now the one that deserves that accolade.

Not only is he an outstanding shot stopper , but his command of the six yard area and ability to pluck high balls into the box out of the air under pressure with such apparent ease and assurance is an absolute joy to behold .

There's been some great additions this year (Campbell, Burrows, O'Hare, etc.). But it's hard to not consider Cooper the signing of the season. I'd even say it's between him and Hamer for player of the season.

After the Grbic disaster and Foderingham being shown his limitations in the Premier League bringing in a goalkeeper like Cooper has been transformative for the club.

What I like is how he deals with crosses. He either catches them or punches them away and the punching is important.

He's better than Henderson. He's better than peak era Paddy Kenny. He is the best goalkeeper we've had since Alan Kelly. That stop from Smith(?)'s header was insanely good. Daylight robbery at £2m, and would still be if we owe Plymouth another few million if we go up.

We have to go up, and then stay up, or he'll be off. He will play for England one day. He is THAT good.

Who kept the ball out of utds net??

MICHAEL FUCKIN COOPER! 😁 😁

Aside from all of the other good things he does which doesn’t need repeating, he’s just so unbelievably calm all the time - this can only help to reassure the defence when they know that not only have they got a great keeper behind them but that he’s totally unflappable

I think we're all agreed for once. He is the business. I get the impression he had a very stable upbringing and was clearly well-trained from an early age. He comes across as a grounded, humble individual, who with the right breaks and sensible career choices could go all the way.

The one question mark when he signed was his fitness record - apparently, this was what deterred some other clubs from signing him - but so far so good on that front too.

He deserves to be given the chance as first choice for a PL club next season, rather than opt for a move to one of the larger clubs to be a squad player. For his development to continue unstunted, he has to play.

He is a fantastic 'keeper, radiates calmness & authority which is sometimes at odds with his lightening quick reactions.

For what it is worth I thought the 2 saves he made on Sunday were par for the course from him, I would have been surprised if both hadbeaten him

I don't think I've seen a goalkeeper quite like him. Nothing seems to phase him. It's almost like a cross goes into the box and he's thinking "I'll just pick this one out of the air easy peasy then we'll crack on lads".

Thinking back over recent goalkeepers, Dean Henderson was good for us but he was definitely a bit more of a showman, Wes was Ok but definitely panicked a bit and the less said about Grbic the better.

I don't watch Burnley but I'd put him above Trafford and I'm more than happy for the media to continue their love-in with him so he gets bought in summer and not Coops.

Calm down, we do have a distinguished list of keepers. I agree he is excellent, best ever 🤔

The biggest compliment he can get is that even on Porktalk they admit he's good.
Probably through gritted teeth but no other United player gets any praise.

I was talking to an ex-player the other day from the Tracey/Kelly era. I'll not say who.

Anyway, he rates Cooper above both those

He's the most assured keeper I've seen in a blades shirt, if we go up I prioritise keeping him over any other player, he must have won us plenty of points this season, let's hang on to him

They were talking about goalkeepers on TS today. They reckon that goalies in demand will go for a lot. They said that Trafford will probably go to a bigger club this summer with an asking fee of 30 million
