Knows how to get underperforming talented individuals playing as a team, he’s don’t it before and know how to get pronged from this league, if you’re serious about promotion- then you need to be cut throat and get rid whilst there’s still time.

Leave it any longer and we’re only going one way out of this league.

Another gamble.

Eat humble pie get Chris Wilder back tonight.

Id be in for Sean Dyche.

The football purists would disagree, but quite frankly I couldn't give a shiny shit. He would turn us around quickly and see exactly what most of us can see.

A Wilder type of manager who is experienced? Yes please. CW himself right now? No thanks. We need a break from that (as does he probably). There are plenty who can come in who can see what the issues are, but they are managers not inexperienced coaches.

I have to say, whilst im far from impressed with Selles and his team, and the SUFC board, im livid with the feckin team. They are shwing themselves to be gutless losers. Their attitude and work ethic recently has been appalling. And just think. Some of our heroes will have pulled in the same amount of wages as some Blades fans do in a year. Let that sink in. They need to shape up or fuck off. The lot of em. Including Hamer et co.

I’m not a knee jerk person at all but after witnessing 4 matches it is blatantly obvious that Selles hasn’t got it. He has been thrown under a bus, yes, but his shape, tactics, press, the lines are non existent. The gap between the front three when attacking is gaping, distance between attack, midfield ,defence in possession is huge. Cannon out wide,WTF. Campbell static,Peck doesn’t know whether to stick or twist ,Hamer disinterested etc etc. The only guy who would turn this round is Dyche, identity, solidity, plan and threat would return.

I'd certainly be putting the feelers out. It seems to me that something is off behind the scenes. Either the players are determined to throw selles under the bus, have their eyes on a transfer elsewhere or Selles genuinely hasn't got a clue. Possibly all three. Normally in this situation, it is easier to get rid of the manager.

As you say, probably all three ! If they have the bottle, the window shuts soon so it would have to be toneet to get shut.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Cooper isn't coming here. Nor is Wilder coming back, hopefully.

Blessin at St Pauli would have been a great shout, playing lovely football in the Bundesliga, with modern methods and a European awareness the Sheffield lad Chris will never have.

He's done. Move on.

If they wanted an english pashun first everything else second manager they wouldn't have sacked Wilder in the first place

Problem is, if the players don’t want to adapt to new ideas, it won’t matter if we get Zidane in. Selles is failing, no doubt, but some of those pulling the shirt on need to fucking look at themselves

Couldn't agree more. They're phoning it in. Some of us can see what's going on and not get dramatic about it.

They're better than that, we all know it, IF they can be bothered.

Brooks and Seriki made a rapid difference, so why couldn't the others? They went missing. Again.

It's far from 'on' Selles

It’s his job to get more out of these players. They’ve shown they are capable of performing at a high level for us. Any manager worth his salt would be working a system to accommodate the talent we have, not shoehorning them into a system they are ill suited to.

It's the players job to be professional, put the effort in and do the basics right. They didn't today, with the exception of Brookes, Seriki and Barry.

Any player worth their salt would do it. They're not going hard enough. Not by a long, long way.

It's not 'just' on the management, just like the back end of last season and at Wembley. It's patternable now. It's what they do.

I feel sure Selles replacement will be out of work but Cooper, Dyche and even O'Neill would've had their pick of a few job and would be wise to give the job a swerve. I could see Carrick having an interest and it was said that Rohl was interviewed last time but the board thought the appointment might be unpopular with fans.

There is a manager that worked not far from S2 that is highly thought of by the powers that be .

This is what it is looking like to me. Man Utd players do this every year or so. Inevitably the manager goes. Obviously Selles' team selection was poor, with Robinson, Cannon and Peck, but I doubt he sends the team out with instructions to stand around not moving into space, let their man run off them etc.

He so far hasn't taken no job. So who knows if he willing to take the job on.

Agree when times get tough we regress back to the good old days. Forgetting that there were times the board, manager and players were told they were a waste of space. That’s life and football.
As a club we are going through a difficult time and let’s not be under the impression we are the best, because we ain’t. We are a good championship club but do not have the resources to be a top club.
There were discussions on this site a few seasons back that the city was not set up to attract top players etc. Our fan base is not big enough to help finance a premier clubs.
So we will have periods of success and other not.
Of course at this present moment success maybe not getting relegated but let’s wait to the end of the season.
A few wins will make a huge difference and they will come.
Again I’m an eternal optimist but also realistic that life isn’t perfect.
Wonder if at times if fans of all clubs see the expectations of their club as a release from the every day issues of life.
I know that’s a bit deep so have put me helmet on

If we do that we may as well just give Wilder a bell and get him back.

I think Wilder would be doing better than Selles with these players and relegation probably wouldn't be in our minds. But he isn't the Wilder of old and I don't see him getting us promoted.
Dyche on the other hand I think could get us promoted. The football might not be pleasing to the pretentious brigade, but it would probably be effective.
Of course, as you have quite rightly pointed out before, this is easy to say!🙂

I’d love Cooper here, seems a great fit..

.. but he’s got a cushy no pressure Job with the FA … can’t see him wanting to come here with the current owners

I think getting rid of Wilde was the right call

But after 4 games selles is the wrong call .., make a quick decision and move on it’s not too late…

That today is one if the worst I’ve seen … bye bye Rubens

Owners learning in their feet and making costly errors
