Am I right in thinking that the contract extensions signed in the last six months are
Billy
Freeman
Coutts
Basham
Brooks
O'Connell
Fleck.

Is there any I've missed?

What should we do about Leon , not sure what he is on at the moment ?? but surely the way he has been playing deserves something even at his age !

I'd give him a new deal. No reason he can't do a job for a while yet. He's 32 now, but i think he's fitter and happier than he's ever been and he's playing like a 25 year old. As long as he keeps that up, he'll do well. Even in the Premier League if we get there touch wood and all that.

Him and Billy ending their playing careers with us would be nice and I think they're good enough to do it without it being sentiment.

Think he's got a lot to give outside of playing too.

Duffy contract up at the end of the season. Clarkes up at the end of next season.

I thought we were a little concerned that we gave Leon 3 years in the first place?

Adopt a policy like Man U. Over 30s get one year rolling deals. That way we don’t commit to long term, but perhaps pay over the odds to compensate. Therefore encourages the player to work harder to keep fit, supple and up to the job.

I’m sure if Leon keeps these levels up, he will get a reward he will have earned and deserved.

Duffy will surely be the next one up to negotiations. One year rolling deal, with annual pay rise built in to perhaps cover lack of playing opportunities.

Duffy and Wright only ones of main first team squad not signed through next season; apart from loan players of course.

Life’s great requirements...

It's refreshing to do this with the contracts. So many times in the past we've lost players before managing to sign them up long term. O'Connell, Brooks, Wilder and Fleck for example didnt need their contracts doing due to expiry, they needed doing to reward them. I can't remember us being so proactive before??!!

Clarke Signed a 3 year deal when he signed.
Wright signed an extension in summer.
Just need to get Duffy a new deal.

So pay him more as he plays less?

Yep. Ensuring he remains committed to the club and being used by the manager when required rather than leaving and dropping down the leagues just to play.

Duffy recently had a baby? Think he would appreciate the security of a longer contract right now... and deserves it...would imagine it will be sorted by Jan.

Sounds a bit sentimental. Can’t see CW agreeing

I can imagine something would be Duffys contract that if he plays x amount of games he gets a new deal.

But if not I think he should be rewarded with his fine form
