Could well be. I'm now at a stage where if there is a delay before they answer or its a foreign voice I've already decided it's a scam and don't listen too hard. Sign of the times I suppose.

I don't answer the house phone as a matter of course. Anyone who wants us texts/calls mobiles.

Even the hospital prefers ringing mobiles as they're more likely to get a response.
