I'm pleased with Washington, think he's got the potential to do really well, and presumably get a longer deal. But wondering whether our fans would have preferred Nahki Wells who of course QPR signed? I guess we'll only know come the end of the season and sometimes a high profile doesn't always work,

Over the years we seem to get better value from the freebies or low transfers than the bigger money moves but maybe that's just because we sign a lot more players who are cheap and only a few who cost a lot so the odds are in favour for the cheap signings to do well!

Reminds me of the United documentary on the fans:

Chalk another one up for "pleased with this signing". Looks to have got a bit of pace this lad, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do when we get to that stage of the game (70+ mins) when we have a break on (it happens regularly), but our 30+ y/o strikers don't have that part of the game in them.
Obviously he'll not start initially, but coming on for a knackered Sharp/McGoldrick/Clarke in the latter stages gives us something extra to what we currently have IMO.
