I think this is a good signing. Obviously rated by QPR fans even though it didn't particularly work out for him there. Hard working centre forward whichis obviously something that Chrissy likes and from memory he has pace and has always been a handful when he has come to the lane.

Seems very low risk/high potential to me.

Not impressed, since leaving Peterborough he hasn't really fulfilled his potential, you could say he has done next to fuck all. Even at P'boro his record of goals is around 1 every 3 games hardly prolific, at QPR it is worse around 1 every 8 games. He is really going to have to up his game to be a success here, if he can't get near the QPR team I don't see what he brings to our squad sounds like a more mobile James Hanson (non scoring striker). Still he hasn't cost owt so we will have to see if Wilder and Knill can work their magic on him. Signings like this have me wondering why we loaned Ched out to Fleetwood. Still 26 is a good age and no doubt he will run about a lot even if the quality we were looking for isn't there.

Compares well with both Gallagher and Hogan from last season and people were gleeful and insistent we should push the boat out for one of those two!
As ever Wilder pops up on the blind side, happy enough with this we have options and more importantly the extra body in who will hopefully reignite his career.

I don't have an issue with Washington, I think the negativity is due to the messages coming from Wilder, pundits and fans that we were shopping at M&S with names like Gallagher, hogan, Abrahams, Asombalonger being banded about and that backed by Wilder saying Brooke's money hardley touched. Then expectations were lowered to Waghorn, Fletcher et al and eventually we sign an unwanted player on 12 month deal making it sound like Wilders edging his bets on his (or our scouts) judgement.

Hope Washington comes in and blazes a trail with lots of goals. Problem though if he does he will want off like Kevin McDonald did once we'd given a chance to showcase himself.
