BREAKING NEWS
Sheffield United are closing in on a loan deal with QPR for striker Conor Washington.
The Northern Ireland international has entered the final year of his contract at Loftus Road having scored 13 league goals in 88 games for the West London club.
Millwall are also understood to be keen on signing the frontman.

Seems as though it is just a loan, no view to permanent.

You make a very good point.Erm... he is literally Caolan Lavery with a bit less hair.
We’ve let relegation threatened QPR sign Hemed and Wells and signed their fifth choice striker instead.
Is this a fucking joke?
He's hardworking and powerful. Can run with the ball. More direct than our other strikers. Can do a job in wide areas.
Very much a confidence player I think. He was ripping L1 a new one, Ched 2012 style, before QPR signed him. Making his own chances and scoring from all angles.
Definitely needs a new start and could start scoring again in the right team and right manager, in which case he'd be a real bargain.
He's in the last year of his contract too so I'd imagine this one is likely to become permanent, because if it was just purely a season loan they'd be agreeing to let us run his contract down before losing him for nothing.
I'm happy for it to become permanent because he's only 26 and would at least be a good squad player.
I think he's more a Billy backup.Fuck it, I'm going to stick my neck out and say this will be a good signing.
Could see him teaming up well with Billy, he offers us something slightly different and he's 26, so just entering his prime.
The whole point of this striker was not to be a squad player, instead to be a first 11 player and a difference maker, if not the main striker. Or am I missing something? There is literally no point to this, may as well just keep lavery. He's hardworking and powerful. Can run with the ball. More direct than our other strikers. Can do a job in wide areas.

Obligatory goal compilation... first and the last are against us!
He seems to be an average championship squad filler, who neither over nor underwhelms me. Seldom have I felt so neutrally whelmed.Totally underwhelmed.
Why so dramatic? He's admittedly not as good as Hemed and Wells, but it should be obvious we can't afford them.
He's far better tham Lavery and more importantly, he's a different sort of player. I'd also say he's far better than K Moore as well.
I'd also say he's capable of pairing up with any of our other strikers.
Great defending for the first, was that mcevely?
He’s pace which is what everyone has screamed for for years.
I'm sure he'll grow into it...Thoughts? Does he fit the bill?
