The vast majority of "our pile of shit" was signed by Clough, and half of it has been moved on to warm the bench of fourth division clubs, leaving just the huge wages to fund.

Whatever Adkins failings, that's the reality of Clough's legacy.

'Our pile of shit' has been completely mis managed by the dick who is here now ,most weren't bad players ,not happy with ruining their careers he is now ruining his own signings careers ,Woolford ,Hammond ,Sammon etc. We would have done so much better with Clough ,imagine last years squad with Billy Sharp ,a strong midfielder and a centre half ,that's all it needed to go up, instead we get rid of the only manager who had started to play young players properly ,to lay foundations since Warnock ,for a second rate newsreader with no fucking clue about Sheffield united and what we want.

All those cup runs achieved was to put Maguire and Murphy in the shop window. The money raised from these runs was then wasted as the posts above pointed out.

I think it matters, because it's a measure of what we are working with.

It was a setup for Clough's style. I believed a more attacking manager would get more out of them. A year later, I've just realised that they are fucking garbage. If it were some facet of the way they've been managed, they wouldn't be ending up at Shrewsbury, Fleetwood and even lower.

Going backwards to come forwards is probably now a sad reality, as whoever is in charge the task of disassembling the poorest set of fourth three wage thiefs has to continue, to release funds to strengthen.

I blame Clough and wish him nothing good. He failed and left a massive burden for future managers. Adkins has also failed in his first year. The two statements stand alone. Adkins lack of performance does not justify mess Clough left.

We aren't paying those loanees anything like that a week and you know it.

Woolford was a poor signing everyone knows that, Sammon was coming anyway. Hammomd has been awful, (but no more awful than Higdon was who was signed permanently by somone who made him Captain) Edgar has been in and out and Baptiste has done well.

The expenditure won't be anything like Cloughs second season, we will have paid more to Brayford and Higdon in total then any of them coming in this season.
