Now I got to draw the line at this. I've just about had enough of bridgfordblade calling Adkins "saviour"... But coming on here criticising our Desso? I'll tell you.. The pitch has been the most consistent performer this season. I enjoyed the pre-season on pitch-cam and ever since August there's been many a Saturday afternoon I've watched the grass grow and been glad of the entertainment.

:D:D Apologies, but there are cheaper pitches and a decent groundsman could look after it. After all Desso's require specialist ground staff, It just struck me as a needless expense.

Don't worry mate, your not the only one.

You omitted HUGE. HUGE Cock.. and RICH too.

By the way, does Nigel know of your infatuation with him on internet football messageboards?

Glad to hear you're rich. I wouldn't mind doing whatever it is you do for a living, you've got the time to post 1507 messages on an internet forum since January, 300 a month, 10 a day.

I doubt he spends a second thinking about "fans" views on internet forums at all and I don't think there's a Nigel Clough fan club where I can send him a letter telling him I'm his biggest fan or buy a Nigel Clough duvet cover.

If you start one, I promise I'll join.

I'd love a Nigel Clough duvet to be honest . Imagine bringing a girl back and her seeing his big face on your bed. You wouldn't even have to put any Bacharach on

Slow build up, lack of invention, the inability to penetrate defences...

I bolded one part of your message when I quoted you.

The part where you said on VERY DODGY GROUND. That's the part I took offence to.

You didn't accuse him of breaking the law but you did say you hope the real non football reasons come to light and in view of what you and others wrote on the thread, a comment like that is easily taken out of context.

If you tell me which of my stuff is "wildy innacurate" if I'm wrong then I'll change it. I go on what I'm told, the same as you go on what you're told. I am capable of admitting if I've got something wrong.

Not sure what relevance your 12 year old brother has but when I looked at your profile it said you were 73 years old, hence my surprise at a couple of your posts, I would have thought at 73 years old you might be a little calmer over your football and your brother might be a bit older, fair play to your mum and dad for having a 61 year gap in between kids.

As for the other posts about begging for the book or touching a nerve, I won't give those the time of day as responses, I didn't hide behind my username on here or on BM, in fact on BM my first post told people I was a Clough "fan", I didn't have to "admit" it later.

I post on forums like this to add some balance so the over negative drivel, not the drivel questioning his management style or his tactics, just the drivel that takes things to a personal level. I do it from a position of knowledge having watched his career for 30 odd years. I did and do still take a bit of stick for that. Apologies if that gets my back up and makes some of my replies a little strong.

I'm off to celebrate a promotion, something I thought and hoped Blades fans would be doing as well. Something I believed yo'd be doing this season if Clough were still in charge and something I was fairly confident Adkins would achieve, with his track record. The fact it's gone so badly wrong isn't down to Clough he's not in charge anymore.

My narkiness isn't at the average fan, it's at the nastier end of the scale, it's at those fans who go to the Nigel Adkins (I've moved on 25 players) school of maths, the ones who hang on to the 43 man "first team" squad bollocks (ffs how many of those were kids and first year pros)

It isn't at the playing side of the club, I've been pretty clear that I wanted the Blades to get promoted, even after Clough got sacked, it is at the senior management who signed a confidentiality/non disclosure agreement when Clough was sacked, who seemed quite content with what he was doing and how he was doing while he was in charge, but who now seem happy to rubbish his work, to blame him for "ruining" this season and drip feed some of the allegedly "on very dodgy ground" issues to fans at Forums.

I don't have access to the clubs accounts so I may be wildly wrong here as well but I'd hazard a guess that the money he chronically wasted probably ties in with the money he generated through cup runs and the Maguire sale? Or did he waste more than that?

I'm in my late 20s, I posted my brothers age so you'd behave yourself if we met (I don't know you from Adam). I put that I was seventy odd not to hide my identity - just being a bit daft. People don't just know my agenda, some can now actually identify me in person who I've never met previously. The actions of a coward?
There are all kinds of vagaries: moral, ethical and legal lines that football administrators and managers at any club have to negotiate. I have no idea of the legal ramifications, but I'd think that KM does; he's pretty famous for this and much richer than me. You've libeled me on this thread but I wouldn't dream of taking it further either, despite your lack of apology. KM thought his money wasn't being used in the best interests of SUFC and ended both MB and Clough's tenures. I've put on here that KM doesn't trust football specific administrative staff including MB, and was laughed at by some on here (if so why didn't MB go at the same time as Cloughie, they said). KM subsequently confirmed it at the fans forums. I posted a long time ago that the motivation for the sacking wasn't just the league table - quotes from the man himself now back this up.
The"wildly inaccurate" stuff, is your playing down the volume of new signings he wanted to start this season. He'd virtually completed deals for Williams and Mcfadzean (that much was true) but he wanted another five which I've posted in many previous threads (check my post history for details). This definitely hastened his departure imo. I'm no accountant either, but I believe the wage bill was the best part of 10 million this season? The League Cup brought in around one million, the FA Cup over two million. The FA Cup tie and Murphy sale have brought in north of three million this season and the current manager hasn't accessed all the cash (he's actually had no money he didn't raise). It is the phenomenal wages that are being paid to very average players that's the problem at SUFC. The fact we don't sell any outsourced players on for big fees post Wilson (and Frank Barlow) is also a huge problem.

.......and a number of people I've tackled on this thread don't care about it either. I find it unbelievable.

You've put a lot of effort into that so thanks for that.

No need to worry about how I'd behave if we met, I'm fairly sure I'm the same as you, I like talking about football, I'm not a mindless thug who would want to hit someone over it. As well as that, I'm not the size of a decent sunday dinner and haven't had a fight since I was 8 years olf.

I libelled you but you won't take it any further? Where did I libel you?

My point on McCabe and if you know him, ask him, he paid a severance package over several months and insisted on a non-disclosure clause put in, meaning NC and his staff couldn't speak out or they wouldn't get their cash. I believe that non-disclosure clause should also extend to the club, yet within weeks Phipps was out saying Nigel had lost control, the squad was too big/bloated and cost to much to assemble. now forgive me if I'm wrong here, but unless NC or Mal B somehow got hold of the clubs PIN number, surely the signings, wages, signing on fees, contract length had to be authorised by someone else other than NC or MB?

If McCabe thought or had evidence that NC or MB had misused the clubs money then I'd expect to see him take one or both to court rather than pay them to leave quietly, that's the issue I've got with that. McCabe is clearly a switched on businessman and didn't get to where he got without making ruthless decisions. Now there are rumours creeping out and people questioning integrity?

I didn't deliberately down play the number of signings he wanted to make I just talked about the two I knew were 100%, I believe he also wanted to sign a keeper (Adam Legzdins?) and another centre half on top of McFadzean, I did get the name but I've forgotten it (as well as inviting Barker to train with them). I don't know for certain but everyone else seems to suggest Sammon was done and dusted as well, I never got that confirmed but then again, I didn't ask.

I do know that he also intended to offload 8 first team squad members including one who was one double figure thousands a week. I'm not counting the juniors or the kids who got added to the squad to give that mythical 43 first team squad figure.

They'd have been off the wage bill a lot faster than Adkins managed to do with his clean slate policy.

He knew the squad was too big, it was built on second and sometimes third choice targets, those second or third choice targets would have been moved on in the summer, at what cost I don't know.

You mention the cup money but no mention of the 2.5m for Harry. So that's 6m on top of the budgetted income for the season and a half, neither cup run nor harry's sale were budgetted when they agreed the playing staff budget for that season. he spent what he generated. I don't know what that did to the wage bill.

He did what he thought was right for the club, he probably signed 5 or 6 too many the season before but he would have sorted that out AND stuck to whatever budget was agreed. If he didn't get approval to spend he wouldn't have spent, he's never gone whining to chairmen for more money, he's worked within budget everywhere he's been.

So if McCabe didn't want to spend it, develop a set of balls and tell him he didn't want to spend it.

I don't know what Adkins has or hasn't spent, what budget was or wasn't agreed. I've got nothing against Adkins per se, I'm more angry with McCabe for not sticking to his word, Nigel hit his targets but was sacked. He agreed a contract but was sacked. The chairman thought there was someone who would do a better job with the same squad. He got it wrong.

It's him who I'm angry with, the fact he then came out and started slating some of the things they'd been praising before just shows what a two faced industry it is.

I wish the Blades all the best, I don't even really mind if that's with Adkins in charge, although I think he's made a real pigs ear of this season.

The issue with transfer fees clearly goes back a lot longer than NC's time at the club, but if you look at it in the cold light of day, Maguire 2 - 2.5m (maybe you'll confirm the exact amount) and Murphy for 1.5m isn't too shabby, we'll never know whether he could or couldn't have recouped some of the money he wasted on the other players cos he wasn't given the chance.

Adkins not playing them has had exactly the same effect as Clough not playing them, it's damaged their potential sell on value, but a manager can't be expected to pick players he doesn't trust, so I don't see any issue with either manager on that score.

McCabe is the issue unfortunately, he keeps making bad decisions, he keeps breaking promises and firing people half way through a contract he agreed. he keeps talking about long term answers and solutions then bottles it and fires managers after a season, or a season and a half or 13 games, he fires managers no matter if they hit the targets they've set or not.

Good post. However, regarding Maguire, that's not money he generated as such. Maguire was already there, developed by predecessors. His sale shouldn't be considered as £2m raised by Clough. It's £2m that can't now be raised, and it was wasted on numerous awful players.

He should take credit for the cup runs though.

Thank Kev we got rid of Clough when we did.
It was bad enough having this weirdo post on BM, now he's on here a year after Clough's gone.
Imagine a full season under Clough's anti-football and having to deal with "closeasa/Bridgford" after every match?

I'm sure Clough appreciates the posting of information about himself, other ex-members of staff and the personal dealings within Sheffield United on a highly visited and extremely popular SUFC messageboard.

Be careful what you post on the internet, once seen, cannot be unseen.
The folks in charge of here don't want to be waking up to letters from a football club and individuals, do they?

Now, go and start on the next book.

Point 1.

Fact or hearsay?
Who are these managers?
What targets were they set?

What a waste of space you are.

Which one are you? are you herbert or sean beans tattoo?

Either way, your hatred, nastiness and bile spouting does my head in. Keyboard warriors like you make me want to be sick in my own mouth.

Oh I forgot, you're such a success in life that you're able to criticise anyone and everyone. Haven't you got an empire to run?

If anyone from the football club sees anything that isn't the truth, let them come after me, they're my views, no-one elses.

Hit a nerve?

If anyone from the football club sees anything that isn't the truth, let them come after me, they're my views, no-one elses.

I refer to the time.

A chairman from a club across the city, saw comments made about him/the club on a very popular messageboard (very similar to this)
He contacted the owner of the site and informed him he was liable for allowing the comments made against him/the club so would be expecting a solicitor's letter and court proceedings.

Also, the posters who made the comments were also informed about court proceedings that would take place if no apology was forthcoming.

So, your views yes, but this isn't your site.
Post them on your own site, what you set up.
Don't hide behind someone else's graft to score a very feeble point.

Not really, you just won't shut up.

You're nothing but an internet troll fella. I've got no time for people like you.

You still won't admit which one of the two BM clowns you are.

Touched a nerve?

Neither. That's the first admittance.

Now, does Nigel Clough endorse your support of him on these boards?
Asked three times, but still no response.

Next.

And I've answered you. You just chose to ignore it.

I doubt he has any idea or any interest in mine or others views of him on a message board.
