Pardon my ignorance but int the lad about 18? Perhaps he needs a bit more time to show he's got summet before he's written off?

He may have had a few chances in our first team and he may not have always showed up, but I've seen him play well and there's clearly something there. 'Bang average' might be a bit harsh this early in his career.

Hope he does well on his England duties.

Reed is 19 and played 60 first team games for united......... Unfortunately at this stage he should be tearing it up and standing out at u23 level especially if he is England quality.
I will say this for him, i don't think L1 where he needs to be. Stick him in the championship and he will shine. I am amazed he did not go to Burton this season but don't write it off in January

Funny you should say that..........Cloughie wanted him and L.R. wanted to go ....dont quite know what happened.......united ask for too much?

He desperately needs to get out on loan, believe he could only go to conference now window shut, that would at least get him playing and toughen him up.

Some of the clubs play quite nice football in the conference too. They pick up ex academy players, the ones that understand it's a contact sport, who've obviously got decent technique. It wouldn't hurt him at all to have a couple of months on loan at the right club.

Reed's one of many, many players whose development and career will be hindered by this stupid loan ban.

He needs to be playing every week now. It's disappointing and surprising that we didn't manage to loan him out before the window shut.

Was speaking to my barber yesterday (he's a Bradford City fan) and he went to watch the England game v Holland. He said that Reed was outstanding..... was amazed when I said he wasn't getting in our team at present.

I have seen Reed only in the first eleven. He is neat and tidy but lacks menace or intent. I wish him well but it looks as though he has a hell of a job to stay at this club

Surprised we've not seen more of Reed, Fleck hasn't exactly set the world alight since he's joined so why hasn't Reed been given the chance to be a that great passer in the middle of the park.
