Just over an hour to get a striker in.

As we have all said, we are light up top. I am surprised we haven't moved to make sure we get this crucial aspect resolved before now.
I know we may well have been making enquiries for players, but being so late we really are clutching at straws and now risk missing out until January.

Not sure of the abilities of the youth lads, but doubt they can step in. So we effectively have Sharp, Hanson, Clarke and Evans.
Now I'm not one to panic normally, but we are really one injury to Sharp away from having nobody! That isn't good. For me, we needed two in today and while I aren't going to be over dramatic, the next hour could be crucial.

It's the hardest part of the pitch to get right and we could have ended up doing a Clough when bought Higdon is a complete panic.

That said it's pretty obvious we will be back here in January begging for a new striker and some pace. It's a real shame as we could have really pushed on with a decent striker in the fold. Wilder will be more disappointed than any of us. He wanted 4 and looks like he has only got 1

I have to agree. Happy with our business so far this summer but we really do need reinforcements up top.

Not could be, it is crucial. If we can get some pace in it will be the difference in many games.

I know this is strange, but I am more concerned that Hanson is still with us.
I am sure brooks could play further forward as per his cameo against Barnsley and I reckon the longer it goes with SInclair, donaldson, akpom not going anywhere else we can snag at least one.

Definitely concerning if nothing happens. Not sure it'll ruin the season but could stop the season being better than we expected. Given the start we've had it's disappointing we couldn't get reinforcements up front to help to push on from the great start ! I'm sure all at the club will be gutted too.

Still an hour though !

Brayfords wages will go on two loan signings from Prem clubs.

When does the loan window open?

Giddings and Shield both saying that Blades are tying to get deals done. Sounds like more than one as well. Seems there are a few busy people working late down there.

January
sick and tired you've been hanging on me

You make me sad with your eyes
you're telling me lies
Don't go
don't go
January
don't be cold

Don't be angry to me. You make me sad
come and see.
Oh
January
don't go
don't go.
Life gets me higher
I can show
I can go
I can wake up the world.
Little world gotta know you
gotta show you.

Sun
like a fire
Carry on
don't be gone

Bring me out of my home
sweet home
Gotta know me
gotta show me
You've been facing the world
You've been chasing the world.

January
sick and tired you've been hanging on me . . .

Time
it's a flyer
Sunny days
fly away
English summers are gone.
So long
gotta go up
gotta grow up.

Sun
like a fire

We really need pace, especially away games when we don't get as much chance to control the game and see a lot less of the ball.

We need something to happen and it's gotta happen now!!!

No, concern isn't allowed. Sorry.

I'm waiting for the millions Pinchy and one or two others guaranteed would be spent before the end of today.

I trust this manager more than any for years and years but whilst we continue to have publicised big bids that are well short of realistic, and then actually spend modest amounts, the cynicism will continue fairly or not.

The biggest concern is that we will have a brave / excellent season finish top ten, and Wilder will then leave for a club with real ambition to push it on to the next level.

This is what exactly will happen.

I'm sure certain people were telling me we had around £5.5 million we could spend and my fears that we had to get Brayford out to free up wages was irrelevant as was my fear that we actually hadn't got that money to spend. Where I am it is now 18.04. I assume that the window has closed and we don't have a striker or is it egg on face time for me?

We have a substantial transfer budget, so we are told.

And we have signed a Barry Oddnob from Kiltycabers Thistle.

Great.

Hey we can at least say we're in profit in transfers. Something we all expected to hear at the end of last season.
