in 1990 under bassett we only gathered 4 points up to dec 22nd, funnily enough 1 point being a draw at chelse so 5 points after 4 games is a huge improvement
We started much later on august 25th taking till nov 10th to get 4 points

we finished that season though in 13th place with 46 points
I think we can better that

The one thing that sticks in my mind about that season are the celebrations after the game from people around the city centre ,the fans really stayed with the team in every game and got right behind them and celebrated that win like it was a cup final

no social media then , people didnt spend the other 6 days in the week looking for faults
and making scapegoats
 
Interesting parallels between the Chelsea game that season and this. Both ended 2-2 and whereas we scored in 45th (Jones) and 90th (Deane) minutes in 1990, we scored in the 46th and 89th minutes on Saturday.

Who can forget Brian Deane's 'lap of honour' after scoring that equaliser!
