Odd one, but..

Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield United, 23 December 1972 (2-0 loss)

Fulham v Sheffield United, 17 September 1985 (2-3 Win)
I seem to remember the Fulham game was an early season midweek game. Nobody really knew who Steve Foley was but he scored twice that night and his name was applauded when it got announced before the home game the following Saturday (they only used to announce the changes from the matchday programme in those days). It marked the start of a period in autumn 1985 when our away form was better than our home form.

A mate and me were in Biarritz in France pissed up in a bar for the Fulham game. It was pre mobile phone days, so we persuaded the owner to dial the 'Bladesline' for the final score. Remember the scorers were named as 'Foley, Cockerill and Foley'. Went in the sea fully clothed to celebrate. Yes, really that pissed...............

Didn't go to any of them and none of the players from the 72 game played the 85 game. Refs were different too
