True. Sorry.
Since losing our first and second games of the season (Swansea and Middlesbrough), we've
always bounced back with either wins or draws after the following single losses.
That is true.
Last week illustrates your point very well. Last season I think we would almost certainly have lost a match like that.
To demonstrate our 'bouncebackability':
We lost the first two games of the season - and then won the next four.
Then we lost at Bristol City - and our next five games were D, W, W, W, W
Losing in a poor performance at FLDC - followed by D, W
Another poor loss at Forest and then D, D, W.
Losing at home to Leeds after a disastrous mistake by our goalie was followed by a win at Reading (
never an easy game).
But then we (deservedly) lost at home to WBA. Was our bouncebackability deserting us?
Nope, our four games after that were D, W, W, W, W.
We lost at Swansea but since then - D, W.
Apart from showing that we quickly 'get back in the saddle' after a defeat, we don't draw many. Of the 'challengers', us and Leeds have only drawn six games out of 30. You've got to go down to Wigan in 19th for a team who've drawn less matches (5), but obviously they've lost a lot more.
Draws can kill you, but not always. Our draw at Norwich pegged them back and - if we'd lost that game - we'd have been seven points behind them now. Our draw at Ipswich was poor, as were the draws v the pigs and at Rotherham, but no season is perfect and we've quickly recovered.
