The coolest and most relaxed player on the ball. You've wanted a goal scoring midfielder since MB.
NOW GIVE PRAISE WHERE IT IS DUE.
WHERE IS HIS SONG?
Player of the season WILLIAMSON

He has not got lightening pace but his first touch and link up play are superb

Player of the season ? Must be up there along with Collins and Ched

It's a massive praise from me. In stark contrast to last season we actually have some proper candidates. In Willo's case we have to factor in his return from a career-threatener and playing out of preferred position.

He's close but it's Chedwyn for me.

There are a few real candidates, willo, ched, collins, mac, a very nice thing to say and not been for a few seasons but i just dont know.
i'd guess ched will get it but in truth it has been a real team effort so ill say the most deserving person for "player" of the season must go to....(fanfare)....Danny Wilson for taking a job no one honestly wanted him taking, taking a team of useless, over paid, lacking in confidence, no hopers and turning them into the highest scoring team in all 4 leagues, a team to be feared, a team to gain plaudits wherever we go, a team that plays like a proper footballing team and lastly for giving we, the fans something for the first time in 20+years, a little pride and belief.
Carry on Agent Wilson :)

What amazes me is that we have Doyle, Willo and K-Mac playing some of the best football we've seen for years, yet Quinn was the one in 4th for the best league one players of the year :S No disrespect to Quinn, I think he's a good player, but I don't think he's been our best midfielder by a long way this year, let alone best in the league!

Williamson has been technically great for ages though, surely we all knew that? He just had discipline and fitness issues. He's had a good run this year, where he's not been crocked and getting himself suspended. That's commendable I suppose, but we should expect a professional sportsman not to be perma-injured or perma-suspended (Darius Henderson? :D)

He warrants praise because he's been good, but we've all seen how good he can be when he's not dicking about. So personally, I EXPECT this from him. And for the record, he was my favourite player right up until K-Mac changed the game against Walsall at home.

He's not been quite as good as McDonald the season as a whole, IMO. He's putting in a bloody good last gasp bid, mind. What's he got now, 12 goals? That's not far behind the washing machine.

Did Liam ever finish his goals index thing? I'd be interested to see it. Against Bournemouth at home everyone seemed to be praising Ched for the good work he did in the corner to set up Cresswell, but what a ball through by McDonald - that won't be listed in the goals or assists charts, but without that, we don't score that goal. McDonald might not score so many as Willo, but we're nothing without him.

Totally agree. Whenever the deadlock has been broken, it's invariably been Williamson. I said in the summer that if we could get a fee for him, we should cash in but I'm certainly glad we didn't. Been immense this season for us, and deserves all the praise he gets. I really hope he is able to stay fit next season, and builds upon this year.

Williamson (like Ched) is out of contract at the end of the season (I believe). Important he re-signs. I am sure he will if we get promotion. Scored a lot of important goals this season and always looks dangerous in and around the opponents penalty area.

Many on here were complaining about Willo being on the right as he was apparently better in the middle. Well this season Danny found the justification for putting willo on the right... The central partnership of KMac and the absolutely inspirational Doyle has been wonderful. Doyle has really grown a set this year, he was shite last season but what a turn around.

Danny Wilson said post match that although Willo has had a few knocks, he's a tough cookie and always wants to play. This didn't happen last season, he was a liability.

Well done to Danny Wilson, whatever happens in the last 3 (THREE) games, Danny Wilson has gelled together a bunch of misfits and he and every single one of those players needs praise.
