.....Europa league here we come!

All jokes aside, disappointing ending to the game but a much better display than previous games.

* We kept battling to the end even with 10 men
CW realised Fleck was poor and took him off early
  • Went to a more attacking formation prior to Lunny sending off
  • Was more composed as a team
  • Bogle had a decent first game, looked to have no fear
  • Burke showed why he should keep his place despite missing at the end

Its not 3 points but i'll take all positives right now, on to the next ome with a more positive state of mind.

UTB!

The first performance of the season that I have truly even proud of!

Credit to Chris taking Fleck off, he had been caught in possession at least twice and was chasing shadows.

All three subs improved the way we played. Bash was immense, just a shame his header set up Wellbeck.....

That actually felt like a loss. Just feel drained again.
Feels worse than every loss so far to me. Absolutely devastated. The thought of watching the next game makes me want to throw up. I already know it will be heartbreaking whatever happens.

Hopefully now Wilder has realised that long ball hoof wins you nothing.

Hopefully him taking Fleck off is a sign of that. Yes we defended well but let’s not kid ourselves, we could have been at least a goal down before the Lundstram red card.

I’m hoping he starts with the formation pre red card. Didzy behind Brewster and Burke.

Battling performance we need to play like we did when Burke came on from the start. That can't just be down to one player. The team needs, as a whole, to give more. We're not getting the 110% we did at the start of last season. We also showed a bit more guile upfront when we did get forward and no no bad mistakes (Robinson being weak as f*ck besides). Better than most performances this season, even with a man less.

I still believe we can survive this season, although we have to rely more now on the other bottom clubs dropping points. These bottom clubs have had a few decent results recently picking up the odd points, but if they do go into a really bad run like we have had it does open up for an interesting second part of the season. Although Leeds have had some decent results up to now, I can see how they could easily get dragged into the relegation dogfight. Same applies to Newcastle, plus how many times have we have witnessed a club top half at this stage and then drop like a stone after the new year.
Clutching at straws maybe, but I do sense that slowly slowly we are beginning to get our mojo back.

My feelings exactly, not gonna knock Bash though, had a really good game one mistake aside.

I agree Burke adds something, but not the ability to shoot on target: again !

I’ve been one of Wilders critics in recent weeks but I think today could be a turning point. Weirdly, I fancy is to get a result against Everton. Disappointing not to win but one thing today has shown is that the players are wanting this.

I'm still convinced we're going down, but my level of optimism is increased. After the Southampton game I truly thought we really did look like a team who could become the worst Premier league team in history. This last two games though we've shown enough fight and spirit to change my mind. We've been so much more energetic, I also think Robinson has been fairly solid. Our left hand side hasn't seemed like such a liability.

Reasons to be (kind of) cheerful.....

Well less miserable anyway.

Under normal circumstances that would be a great point but we’re so far behind Im gutted it wasn’t all 3.

Minimum of 8 or 9 points needed from the next 4 before we then play Spurs, ManU & ManC.

Point from Everton, 3 from Burnley and 4 from Palace/Newcastle and things will start to look better. I’m still sure we’ll do just enough to stay up, but it does look like a last match winner stays up kind of season, and that last match is Burnley at a packed out BDTBL next may.

No way any football ground in this country will be packed in May, 25% capacity will be a bonus. Hope you’re right about the rest though!

Feel completely different myself, yes we surrendered the lead, but considering that we had to play with 10 men, and then cleared an almost sucker punch off the line in the final seconds, I see it as a really positive result. We needed to the win, but under the circumstances, I will take the point and move on.
