This is presumably another of these deals on lower terms, but for a longer period. That should hopefully help us in the short term in terms of bringing people in.

It remains to be seen if he could be a first choice Championship centre-half. He'd certainly be a decent option to have as back-up though, and you'd expect the middle of defence to be an area we'd look to strengthen should we be promoted. The circumstances should we go up though will be different to when we left, and perhaps Collins would fare differently to how he did last time. By all accounts, he's now settled, happy and confident. When he arrived the club was devoid of confidence, under huge pressure, and he was a scapegoat from the off.

More good work by the club. Collins always gives you 7 or 8 out of 10 so it gets the thumbs up from me.

Remains to be seen? I've seen more than enough to know what will happen if he play every week in second tier.

Apart from these past two and a bit seasons, Collins played virtually all of his career in clubs towards the top end of the second tier. I don't think its fair to judge his second tier capabilities on the diaster that was the Adams era.

Happy with this in my opinion he's good enough for this division and the one above.

Just look at the wankers behind and beside him during that season ,there are a fair few clues there. SimmonsenMattockNosworthy..... shudder....

Bang on Sits. I thought he was a bag of when he first played for us surrounded by these clowns. Last couple of seasons however, after forming a solid partnership with Harry he's been (along with Harry) somewhat of a colossus.

It's starting to worry me quite a lot now that if we do go up, we prob have a team containing Porter, Hill, Doyle (who standards have dropped since he has been given his 3 year contract) and Collins. The only consolation is that they are lower wages but it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't. It's the Blades way.

Think that's a bit more likely.

What about thinking of the kids or the lack of ambition, shouldn't you be feeling sorry for Collins playing for the club you love to hate? This is out of character mic

Haven't we just gone through a process of austerity ???????? its now the Blades way apparently.

Unlike Doyle and Cresswell I'm confident Collins can remain a decent member of the squad even if we go up, so this seems like a good move.

I think this means that every member of the first team squad has either been signed by Wilson or signed new terms since Wilson arrived, can anyone confirm that? This means Wilson should get full credit if he gets us promoted, but also removes any excuses for gaps in the squad, if we accept that our wage budget is one of best in the division.

Leeds fans were delighted to get rid of him and he was terrible for us in the Championship. He was solid last year but sometimes makes costly mistakes. We'll have to strengthen defensively if we do go up and I'm happy enough to see him around as an option but I've seen nothing to think he's good enough to be in a Championship XI.
