I think Clough said in one of his previous interviews (prior to the Port Vale game I think ) that he would use the funds of the potential Butler sale to buy new players. Whatever that will be remains to be seen. Can't imagine it would be any more than 100k.

If Collins hadn't got injured in our 2nd season down here we would've won the league. I think it was boxing day (we were top at xmas) and he went off and we didn't see him till mid-feb (if memory serves right). By the time he came back we still had chance of the title and top two but momentum had gone and we were drawing too many games, especially at home.

In the old days Collins would be transfer listed and publicly urged to leave. I assume he's been given the same message as McGinn, that he won't figure, not even for the U21s. Collins probably hasn't been motivated to seek a move, partly for family reasons, maybe also money reasons. I doubt he'll have a problem finding a new club in the summer, so from his point of view he doesn't have a lot to lose by sticking around.
