Broads. Was like a slow, agonising death. I was the youngest one there by at least 50 years. It was like that film, Cocoon. Every pub was like a care home during the day and deserted by 7pm. We honestly werent a rowdy bunch, but were turned away by several of them for being a “group”. Basically, they wanted an early night.

Four of us went to a quaint looking cafe for a full English one morning- I got a bollocking from the woman running it because I asked where the toilet was. “We dont have toilets; we have facilities...”

Pissed it down most of the week as well which didnt help, as didnt the fact that there were 8 of us on a boat with 1 working bog and a hot water system so slow, it only heated up enogh for about 3 of us to have lukewarm showers per day.

We did find a very nice curry house though- on the last night. That was where we parked the boat up, I think it was called Stalham?

That sounds rather like the Broads. They're not keen on groups of blokes (or women for that matter) rocking up at pubs along the way. It's pathetic. Shame though because the Broads are beautiful and we should shout about them more!

Stalham is a little town near the Broads so you are right. Also a town famous for those two Tesco employees getting it on not so long ago!

It looks like the latest "look at me" trend is to get a ridiculous tattoo and hope it goes viral and gets media coverage. Remember the woman with the tattoo on her face, that was a fake and I'm guessing this one is too.

This last two seasons dealings with this lot have drastically elevated Ipswich up my “teams I hope win their derby games” list.

The media really do seem to love Norwich. I dont get it. Is it the Delia/Stephen Fry/Ed Ball connections?
Yes, that's all it is. I dislike Norwich for my own reasons, but the media love-in just makes it worse.

I remember the Tesco! After we parked the boat up, we walked down a fairly dodgy path that looked like the scene of every mugging/rape ever filmed for gritty, police dramas. The big Tesco was across the river/canal. We turned the other way and found a pub that seemed like the meeting place for the Norfolk branch of EDL. Then we found the Indian restaurant- it was the most clean, modern, well decorated place I’ve ever seen. So out of place. I was sorely tempted to bung them £20 to let me sleep on the toilet floor for the last night as it was cleaner and more comfortable than our boat and had hot water.

Love the broads I do. I’ve been boating and fishing down there for decades. Smashing place, a bit of a time warp but that’s what I like about it. Park the car up and sail off into an unchanging world that’s Yeti free and beautiful. If you want to go out on the piss up and party every night for your R&R great, there’s plenty of alternatives to the broads.

Norwich City football club on the other hand are a bunch of twats.

FULL-TIME
Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwich

- Just booked me Norwich City Champions 2019 tattoo for Monday :(

3 horse race has just turned into a scramble for 2nd. Norwich are away now, forget them. That sick that plays upfront for them is a good player and they have pace in most areas (which we lack). Still wouldn't rule out WBA, going to be tense over the next few weeks.

Norwich are up and deservedly so.

Despite some of the childish cap doffing comments on here, not giving justified credit to the opposition is even more pathetic.

Praising the competition isn't a backhanded dig at our team as much as some like to suggest so.

I'm proud of what we've done so far against expectations, but surely the same has to be said of Norwich.

Anyone who thought Norwich were catchable even before today were living in a dreamworld.

The bloke shouldn't have got that tattoo though. Not cos he's tempting fate, just because it makes him look a pillock.
