Hello Blades, me again. Im very aware that since my rave review of Wilder, results have not really supported my gushing opinion. Reading a few bits on here can understand the frustration you're going through.

The standard of the league its self has been surprisingly poor, which us why Im even more convinced that once Wilder clicks in it, you will be fine. Your biggest problem seems to be playing 2 up top, his philiospy is more suited to 4 2 3 1 for sure.

Give him time, he will be itching to put right what all you can see is wrong. Im confident it will happen for you.

On our front we have made some quality signings since Wilders left (Revell, Taylor, Beautyman) Massively lacking in 15 goal a season striker , you have 2 so your lucky on that front and again a reason I think you will be ok.

New years day at your place is a day out im looking forward too! Sure you will be in full flow then and smash us 4 nil.

Beautyman is a tremendous surname.

Hope so.

Was optimistic this season we played ok preseason a decent style too and I saw sense in the signings he made.

However 2 weeks later and wilder has lost a lot of that optimism and is going to have to work hard to get it back (I know he will be desperate to do that)

Signing have yet to prove their worth, tactics have been lump it 70 yards to Clarke and we've got worse with every game.

Still have faith in him to turn it round but it now wouldn't surprise me if he was out by Xmas

2 star strikers that have managed 1 goal, 0 assists and generally looked poor, frustrated and dare I say completely uneasy with each other and our managers offensive "strategy" in the first 3 games.

A 30 + a season partnership nailed on !!!!!

Not.

They can't play together and if it's true Billy has spat his dummy cuz he don't wanna play with Clarke he needs dropping, and either way needs stripping of the captaincy

Thanks for the encouragement cobbler, we certainly need some. Some have gone to defcon1 already. In your opinion should the 1 up front be Clarke or Sharp?

Sharp is good at this level but is limited in that you HAVE to play a certain way to extract the best from him.

Sadly, if the current plan of launching the ball as high and handsome as often as it has been continues, Billy will seriously consider his future. His frustrations clear for all to see on Tuesday.

And don't kid yourselves that there wouldn't be interest.

We draw towards the end of a transfer window. Proven goal scorers are valuable commodities. There are dozens of clubs that would want Sharp's services.

Be very careful what you wish for !

Where did I say I wanted him sold exactly?

This is once again proving in football for players and managers who ever you are for some fans," your as good as your last game".
( or should that be your last 3 games ? )........;)

For me Clarke....hes a league 1 version of Marc Richards.....will suit his play.

Thanks for the info.

Unless something turns around dramatically he's going to be sacked before bonfire night.

Thanks cobbler and I hope your right and wilder comes good the problem he has with his preferred formation that he played for your is Billy and now he's made him captain he has to make some tough decisions as Clark so far hasn't put a put wrong,in your opinion has wilder got the balls to drop our captain to suit his preferred formation ?

Hope it's the same score as the last time I saw Northampton at BDTBL the score was 7-3 :)

Enjoy the day - it might even be best ground, worst team in the division by then !

100% if its not working and it needs to be done 99% sure he will do it. O'toole was his marquee signings in first season for us. He dropped him and shipped him out on loan, no questions. Turned him into our best player in the end. His 3 seasons with us , he guided us to safety, consolidated and then smashed the league(lost 3 in first 5 that season). So give it time, hes a proven winner and likes winning mentality. Ill be gutted if it dont work for him as I know this is where he wants to be and after what he gave us , I know that will be going in 10 fold with you.Plus your good club, dont need to be in this league.

hope your right yes it wasn't until around the 7th game last season for you guys he got going with solid wins so there's still hope for us and it's early days, thanks for your words of encouragement mate and good luck with your season .

Exactly my feelings. I think I saw him spit some water out when Rochdale scored but that's about it.

Why does it matter?

Some people show their emotions outwardly. Some don't. Some managers don't do so naturally, but put on a show to demonstrate to the fans that they care.

Personally I'm not interested in him putting on a show of emotion. He'll do better if he concentrates on what needs to be done to improve the team, rather than worrying about what the fans will think about how he reacts on the touchline.

I'd be interested to know how Rob Page is doing as your Manager cobbler150 ? People in the game hold him in high regard.

As a player he displayed all the qualities of a leader on the pitch and formed a solid defensive partnership with Shaun Murphy (bows) during his time with us. He also seemed to do well as Manager at Port Vale with little to no resources.

He will have been told "Billy tha knoerz like I do that tha can do wot tha wants if thaz Sheffield born. I am mecking thee captain wi a clause. ..tha can't be dropped."

What was calvert lewing like when he played for you guys.

S eems to have been back benched by wilder here.

Was wilder a ranter & raver on the touchline with you lot? His hands in pockets and silence is bugging me
Oh boy - we"re back to that one now eh? How a manager stands on the touch line matters. Bey you don't like him wearing a suit either?

The other night when they needed encouragement he's just stood there. Couldn't give a fuck if he wore a dress Aslong as he does his job effectively
