clough on securing play offs

Securing a place in the play offs does have risk attached to it , although i am certain we will succeed . The biggest risk is not assembling a team early enough to run with the pack for automatic promotion. The plus side for us , is that the majority of teams in this league have been as inconsistent as us with performances , and dropping points . We had a real opportunity to take advantage of this but failed miserably , with being as much as a muchness , as the others.

I see Flo is back -injured whilst out on loan again. I feel for the bloke.

Cyprus , yes so do i . The lad does seem to be a model professional and needs some luck in being fully fit next season . Whether or not he plays a part for us next season , will be in the hands of Clough .

Higdon played in a friendly the other day , but still looks like he his built like a shit house door . It would be good if him and Wallace are fit for the run in , but may not be match fit enough ,to make a meaningful contribution. Injuries are part of football and can also be used as a excuse for failure . Lets hope we achieve promotion whoever puts the shirt on.

The only role I can see for Higdon in the run-in is to give the first team players a rest once we are certain of the play-offs.Wallace is another story but I doubt he can get sufficient match fitness and remain injury free to impact over-much. He has managed a mere 8 starts and 5 sub appearances this season.

Flo is a Weir signing so I am unsure whether he will get the same sort of commitment from NC as Wallace has with his injuries and I fear his time at the Lane may be fast disappearing. Jason Holt's arrival at the Lane may be an indication of this.
