Dick head.

Harsh! Why the response? You always seem so polite in your previous posts.

He's still smarting over how badly Pogba performed in the Euro's ;)

Our Ricky maintains that the Pog's piss is gold nectar when he plays for Juve but the rest of us saw a haircut that should be consigned to the dustbin and a near perfect impression of Carlton Palmer (without the stoop) from the £85m rated (by a desperate Man U) man who had us in stitches with his silky skills and overall lack of impression made (in footballing terms).

Which bit of your brother being in Spain and being told by Wilder that Leon Clarke is signing today did you get wrong then? Just for the record.
It wasn't Leon Clarke's signing he heard. It was Leroy Park's Dining.

The English restaurant they plan to visit in celebration towards the end of their stay in Spain.

I'd be happy with Clarke, different to what we've got I suppose.
My concern is we're lacking height up top.

Could be worse. I told my mate he could be France's best CM since ZZ. He's probably still laughing now.

Billy sharps lowest return in league one was last year with 21 goals! In 2005 he got 23 and 2006 30. You don't get more a proven league one striker than that. (I was shocked at how high his goal return actually is)

Someone showed Leon Clarks record at this level and he's a proven target man who can get the goals. With McNulty and Done being other options I don't see how we could get much better without breaking the bank.

For me Clarke would be the ideal man to partner billy up front!

You really seem to want to make something of this don't you?

Anyone would think you've been proven right.

I've seen much more of Pogba than you by the sounds of it.

He's still young. Time will tell.

We disagree about him.

Do you think you've got it in you to leave it at that? Because personally I don't care enough to argue with you about it every time we cross paths.

The dick head post was because he didn't seem to have any fucking clue what he was on about and it seemed like a wind up.

Dickhead is one word, Dickhead!

Only a wind up :)

Out of all the realistic targets to lead the line Clarke would be my choice. Annoyingly he always seems to have a good game against us and scores. He's more mobile than Hanson (wouldn't have a problem if we signed Hanson though the lack of pace up front might be a problem at times) and would probably be a better option alongside Sharp. Be nice to thing we could sign both, have Clarke and Sharp as starters, with the option of bringing on Hanson and Done/Adams/McNulty in the second half (ala a modern day Chief and Peski from the bench!)

Hope this isn't true, he'd be a crap partner for Billy. I want to see Billy in the box more often than not. But with a player Clarke next to him, Billy will need to do more of the running and as a result will score less goals.

I see where you're coming from, but Billy had to do a lot of that season and still scored 21 goals and should've had more, and that was in a poor team. In a better team he should score at least as many with Clarke next to him. While he wouldn't be the perfect partner for Sharp, he will keep hold of the ball, win headers and put defenders under pressure, all things that Sammon failed to do miserably. Sammon's set a very low benchmark for the next player to come in and partner Billy. In fact even Adams has set a fairly low one, because despite his respectable 12 goals, they never developed a real partnership.

With Clarke and Sharp we'd be a real threat in the box, but it would be key to have some pace out wide and to get plenty of crosses in. They're both players who are quite heavily reliant on service and will rarely create clear chances for themselves when on the ball.

I’m with Ricky on this one. Paul Pogba is a superb midfielder and will probably develop into the best all round central midfield player on the planet (though Renato Sanchez looks very promising too). I’ve been singing his praises since I saw him as a 17 year old in the youth cup final at BDTBL.

Yes he was ineffective in the final but there were moments of real quality from him during the tournament including the assist for the 2nd goal against Albania which is about as good a pass as you’ll ever see. Given he’s only 22, when you look at the attributes he has, there is good reason for his value being so high (in the context of the absolutely ridiculous prices throughout football in general).
