Clapping

Seriously, think about it, what a weird concept clapping is.

What are we even doing? It's silly.

Even worse when it's a "minutes applause", one of the most hideous concepts ever adopted in football.

I think booing is even dafter. Imagine being a grown adult and making a "boooo" sound when you see something you don't like? Any intelligent person would feel like a right cunt.

The human species really is fucking stupid, and shows little sign of evolving.

Do you live in s6 by any chance?

I hesitate to ask, because I often don't know when you are joking, but how do you express approval and disapproval at football matches? Or do you prefer the library approach?

I clap for approval like everyone else, although it is weird when you think about it.

When I disapprove I usually shout and swear. I never ever 'boo' though. That's just a really dumb reaction.

What about an adult shouting "Cooouuuutts" when they see something they like?

We all live in the matrix. Just this year the new matrix gaffer is a Blade.

What? Even clapping the attendance?
Clapping the attendance says ‘thanks’ to everyone (including yourself) for your support both vocally and financially... It does make a difference. The players and supporters working together are part of something very special at BDTBL at moment! We are in this together for the rest of our life

I never clap at concerts. I’ve paid them my money, I expect to be entertained. They need me to clap after every song too? Fuck that. I’ll do it at the end, IF I’m suitably impressed. I also don’t take part in that clapping to get them to come out for an encore either. They’re coming back out, they have a set list prepared, including their big finale song at the end. It’s almost like a pantomime. Anyway.

You could've shoe horned something Blades related in here, Steve but chose not to. Poor.

But seeing as I'm here.... I used my empty pop bottle and one hand as an alternative to a two handed clap for most of the second half yesterday. And trust me when I say.... I clap a lot!

It's a long held audible way of showing respect and appreciation.

If it's not your cup of tea just shout 'Bravo' as an alternative ;)
Jack is that you? Weird, our Jack is not a clapper, being a young un and whenever I start clapping he claps sarcastically and says 'Bravo jolly good show' in a pseudo posh voice.

I just don't understand why we keep booing Coutts. Me and Steve Mackan think he's ok.

I clap the attendance coz the three of us that go together have a guess at the attendance each home game and the losers politely clap the winner. I thought that's what everyone did.
